Extra Character Development for Fred, Peter, and Tiny Tim
This review is specific to the version of A Christmas Carol, starring Reginald Owen; I purchased this video to add it to my collection of copies of Christmas Carol adaptations - not for Christmas in Connecticut, which I have reviewed separately, or Boys Town.I like it because it develops the characters of Fred, Tiny Tim, and Peter more than any other version I've seen. It shows them in an encounter where Fred runs and slides on the ice with other children, and meets Tim and Peter. Upon discovering that Fred is en route to visit his Uncle Scrooge, Peter asks Fred to take a message to his father, Bob, from his mother, with a list of things to buy on the way home from work at Scrooge's office. This version wraps up with Scrooge making his nephew a partner, which provides him with enough income to get married. In the original classic, Fred is already married when he invites his Uncle Scrooge to Christmas dinner.

Don't skip buying this collection
I wont go into movie details since other reviewers have written some great reviews on the movie content. I will say that this is a MUST for your Holiday Movie Collection. The 3 movies all add to the excitement of the holiday spirit. My holiday wouldn't be complete, especially without watching the light-hearted and fun "Christmas in Connecticut". Even my husband who is not into these classics caught himself sitting back and watching the film, laughing, while I had it playing.I like to have these films on in the background also, replacing holiday music, during afternoon decorating, cooking, or even when guests come over. This is a great investment.... all three movies at a great price. Don't pass it up!

Not necessarily "Holiday" movies
Christmas in Connecticut has a Christmas tree and the movie takes place over Christmas, however beyond that, it is not a Christmas movie. No presents, no caroling, no Bedford Falls type of moments. Boys town is definately not a Christmas movie - not sure how it ended up in this collection. A Christmas carol of course is Christmasy and belongs here. Beyond that, the extras are adequate and the transfer is good.

I actually ordered this item because I wanted "Christmas in Connecticut" but had never seen the other two films. I was very pleasantly surprised with both shows and am super pleased with the entire collection. I received the shipment promptly and in plenty of time for Christmas. Thank you!

Classic Holiday Collection
I loved watching Boy's Town and A Christmas Carol on TV when I was a kid and I wanted to share them with my children. My kids are ages 6, 8 & 10, they loved them too. These are true classics!

PEACE ON EARTH
I only bought this collection because it has the cartoon entitled, PEACE ON EARTH. It's a Christmas cartoon made during WW2. It is set in a post-apocolyyptic world, where only cute, furry animals have survived humans destroying themselves. This cartoon is so incredibly hard to find and a 1938 Christmas Carol has it as a special feature.

Warner Bros. Classic Holiday Collection (Boys Town / A Christmas Carol 1938 / Christmas in Connecticut) I bought this for my husband who loves old films. He loved watching these classics especially 'A Christmas Carol' which, he said 'scared the pants off him' when he was a boy.We are very pleased with our purchase.

A nice set of vintage B/W semi-Christmasy movies.
These are a nice trio of DVD 480P transfers.Frankly, I've grown sick of seeing 4K detail of actor's pores, and broken blood vessels; it's just TMI! :PI don't care that they aren't 1080P or more, because they look great on a 4K flat screen anyway!
