Wow! This first book from Cassius is brilliant. Very emotional and you feel that you are there feeling what the characters feel. Brilliantly written and love the fact that the chapters aren’t too long. I wondered at the beginning just how a couple of the characters come together but this makes for an amazing event and then a twist that I didn’t expect at the end. Can’t wait for Cassius’s next book and any future ones he writes. Totally brilliant, well done Cassius.

Absolutely loved this book! Completely gripping, a real page turner. This book takes you through the emotional life journey of Jack Stone. After witnessing the tragic death of his brother in his teenage years, the author writes of the unique loneliness of grief beautifully, and the subsequent guilt, despair and self-destruction that follows. A real roller-coaster of a ride for this amazing character that you can't help but fall in love with. A story of tragedy, great friendship, love, and success. Tragedy strikes again for Jack and he is taken back to the dark place he once struggled to escape from. Completely tense, beautifully and respectfully written. Whether you are a fan of crime thrillers, coming of age stories or sports enthusiasts, this book has it all. You won't want to put the book down. Highly recommended and I can't wait to see what's next for this author.

I throughly enjoy every minute of this book, it’s a real page turner and I found myself resenting having to put it down. The author has a real art in showcasing the characters and I really felt I knew them all without giving a lot of monotonous details. The three parts of the book felt like three entirely different stories whilst being part of a bigger picture of Jack’s life. I won’t give anything away but the ending really had me holding my breath and kept me guessing right until the reveal. Can’t wait to read more from Cassius.

I read this book in a week and as a busy mum of 3 that is no mean feat. It had me hooked from the beginning and I picked it up to read at every opportunity - a real page turner. You feel a connection with the main character Jack Stone from the beginning and the book takes you on an emotional roller coaster right to the very end. Every emotion was felt in this brilliant debut novel. I can't wait to see what this author produces next.

All with a realistic backdrop of the cut and thrust of the boxing forum with a thrilling and chilling twist. Once you start, I assure you won't want to put it down until the last page. I came across this book from a mutual friend. I found it quickly engrossing, honest and really enjoyed it.It took me on an emotional roller-coaster. Lovely nods to my childhood home also.
