Catskill CraftsmenCarver Jumbo Chopping Block with Feet

I just bought it. The board is a beautiful maple color and it appears to be very sturdy. It is true, like others reviewers said, that the groove is a bit rough, but that doesn't bother me: one minute sanding takes care of it.The board was very well oiled already, so it barely absorbed the oil. I applied Clark's wax and my new and beautiful board is ready to use. I plan on ordering another one for my daughter. :)

It's solid, the feet work well. The finish is terrible, it is rough to the touch especially around the outside. I shouldn't have to sand down a product that I purchased. So basically I have to purchase, then sand, then re-finish the cutting board. So don't be fooled by low prices.

Nice quality board, perfect size. Good instructions for cleaning and care. And a great deal (got it on sale)!

I just received my cutting board and while it looks good it is NOT 1 and 1/4 inches thick which is why i purchased it in the first place. Falsely advertised. It is 1 inch thick same as one I am replacing. It looks good. I will upgrade my rating if it works overall but don't buy if you are looking for a thick board

It is rare I write a review, but I rely on them so heavily I decided it is my duty this year. I am particular about my kitchen utility products, however I am not an exclusive Williams Sonoma type either. I purchased this with the expectation of it not having a finished wood coating...thus needing to treat it with oil...based on reviews. What I did not expect was the lack of sanding ( very rough edges that my towels snag on.) Applying cutting board conditioner was a challenge as my cloth kept tearing off. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I would highly recommend not purchasing this product. Spend a little more for a finished smooth surface. The fantastic design does not compensate for splinters. Too bad they chose to cheap out when they could raise the price a little and deliver a "best in class" product.
