Will this straighten my hair? A regular or a super? I have short, thick hair and I'm trying to get my hair back naturally straight.

I only use Nairobi regular relaxers for my hair, I'm sure it doesn't matter which perm you decide to use, If your hair is really thick I would definitely use the regular first, you could leave it on for a couple of extra minutes.

does it work for men?

I've used this for years and have had no problems at all. There's no reason it shouldn't work for men, though I've used it only on my hair and I'm a female.

What is the protective gel for?

Apparently for your hairline or scalp to protect the SKIN from irritation from the cream! That gel was irrelevant as my follicles and shaft was damaged! My hair was falling out in handfuls from the roots for 2 months. I was fortunate that the tub was SO small and i ran out of cream 1/2 way through. If it wasn't for that, I would be BALD right now.

I'm in love with this product. I have used this product for years. It is the only one you can still get in super strength. I love the conditioner that comes with it. It works very well and I will continue to buy these. I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking to straighten their hair long-term. I will suggest to please remember to put a protective layer of like bag balm or another thick product on your face or anywhere, this might set in touch for a few minutes like your ears or the backyard neck as it will give you chemical burn if your skin is not protected, just like any other chemical would do, this is a great product.
