What Are the Winter Olympics? (What Was?)

This book is not what I expected. It wasn't about the winter Olympics as much as I thought it would be. The first chapter was an instant turn off. The first chapter is titled, "What are the winter Olympics?" And all it talked about was Shaun White and him competing. Helpful? Not so much. There was no history or explanation of what the winter Olympics actually are. The next few chapters go on about the war (mentions Hitler/Nazi's) and the Great Depression etc. And then how sports changed over time. Over the whole duration of the book, I don't think it ever really explained what the actual winter Olympics ARE. Huge disappointment. There are better resources out there. Save your money.
