I have chronic neck pain that has affected me for 5 years from a whiplash injury in a car accident that has not responded to physical therapy. I have 2 herniated disks in my neck: C4-C5 and C5-C6, both in the middle of the neck, causing muscle spasms, headaches, and pain.I use this unit twice a day, morning and evening, for the full programmed cycle— it powers off automatically when it’s done. I’ve found it much easier to use than the tens units with sticky pads you have to position yourself— I’ve found that the stick-on electrode pads are difficult to place properly by myself, whereas this device makes it quick and easy to get a good electrode placement every time. I usually apply water to my neck by wetting my hands from the faucet and then patting the back of my neck. This device has been very helpful as a supplemental therapy, though it will not cure neck pain on its own. I’d recommend also improving the ergonomics of your work station, sleeping position, posture, and doing stretches and strengthening exercises as well. Also, the tens unit doesn’t so much result in immediate-term relief for me, but regular use over time does seem to reduce my pain level. Hopefully the unit proves to be durable over time with daily use. I’ll update my review if not.

I use this product for my neck. I have ankylosing spondylitis and my entire cervical spine is fused so I get muscle pain a lot and I am a full time nursing student and sit at my desk most of the day. I really like this neck massager and love the electrical stimulation it gives my muscles. The biggest and only problem I have found is the female voice announcer is way too loud. You can turn off the voice during use but I have not figured out a way to stop her from saying goodbye at the end. I am usually relaxed at the end and that voice totally jars me out of my relaxed state. There should be a way to completely turn off that voice prompt.

I would give this product 5 stars, but there doesn’t seem to be a neck massager out there that I can silence. I wear for 12 hours at a time (at work) and it’s embarrassing when the voice keeps prompting me to “keep electrodes in good contact with my skin” 🙄 ~I already know this… and it’s loud and annoying. I’m using my old one (which has a little dime size speaker on the side that I taped so the voice is very low) until I can figure out how to muffle this one.

For the past month I have been on pain killers, muscle relaxers, icing and heating ant my neck has been so soar it was hard to walk or stand. I even went and got a neck massage which helped temporarily and some chiropractic work. I started looking on Amazon for a Neck messager and this unit stuck out with great reviews. Little pricey, but needed to get this issue resolved. I received the unit on Monday night before going to work. Tried it briefly and started to feel better. Over the last couple of days my neck is about 85% better. I am happy with the number of massages I get off from one charge. I also like the level aspect of how much of a massage it gives. Strange feeling with pulsing and electro type stimulant it is the best investment I have made for this neck issue I have been dealing with. VERY SATISFIED!!!!

About a year ago I fell. I came away from that event with a post concussion syndrome—mainly headaches, stiff neck and difficulty sleeping on my left side. With migraine medication, heat and relaxation therapy the symptoms were manageable, but evident. Now, having used the HEZHENG Neck Massager on a daily basis for the past several weeks, I am experiencing a much greater reduction in headaches and neck stiffness. And, I am able to enjoy sleeping on my left side most nights (still a work in progress). I started using the massager at a low level until I adjusted to the sensation of the electrodes. After a few weeks, I am now at level seven of 10 levels. Be sure to pre-wet the electrodes before using. Also, wetting the back of your neck helps the electrodes do a more efficient job. I also use the massager in a recliner chair with a small pillow—that helps. The results of the HEZHENG Neck Massager may very with each person. But for me, it was just what the doctor ordered, which he didn't! I highly recommend it. At least try it for a few weeks. You may find it works for you, too.

The massager actually speaks to you so you know the modes and when your turning heat on and off. My neck has days when the pain is unbearable and I put the massager on it for 20 minutes and I feel recharged. The different modes are exceptional.

I like the light weight design. Having 10 different settings for intensity is nice. The remote makes it very easy to change settings while on use.
