Whole World Vegetarian Paperback – Illustrated, May 10, 2016

I eat a lot of vegan food at home, but have recently gone on a cheese kick, which makes this incredible vegetarian cookbook essential in my kitchen. Every recipe I've tried so far has been delicious! I originally checked out this cookbook from the library, but liked it so much, I bought it here to have it on my shelves permanently.

We really liked this cookbook. It has opened our eyes to recipes for foods from other cultures. But the meals are not difficult to make. It has helped make our vegetarian cooking more exciting. Lots of great new recipes to try.

Just a wonderful book. Great pictures, good background on the food. I belong to a potluck club and we cooked from this bookok, everything was so good. Have made 3 of the salads and all are very fresh and lovely. Wish they had nutritional counts buts that's a nit

Well formatted, nice recipe descriptions and so far everything looks like something I'd really like to eat. Not too many 'just on the weekend' things that require hours to make...

Whole World Vegetarian by Marie Simmons is a marvelous cookbook. You can always count on Ms. Simmons for excellent recipes.

Perfect book for vegetarian -- and any kind of cooking.

Marie Simmons has been turning out award-winning cookbooks for 40 years. (She also wrote a beloved column for Bon Appetit for two decades.) Her latest book has all her signatures: delicious food, accurate recipes, un-fussy preparation. She also has a gift for taking a typical flavor profile -- be it Peruvian, Indian, Thai, Iraqi -- and finding a way to make it accessible to American home cooks. Her books are the most dog-eared of my huge cookbook collection, by far. If you are new to Marie's work, this is a great place to start; if you know her already, you will want to add this generous work to your collection.
