Good solid construction - keeps the squirrels out.

Really good squirrel proof feeder
Resident squirrel does knock it off the nail on shed however it's very sturdy and it can't access the nuts when it falls on the ground. Would definitely recommend.

Not entirely squirrel proof lol :)
Good quality, all metal so they've not chewed through it, but the smaller squirrels can fit right inside, all except the tail anyway. So I'm quite pleased with it but certainly wouldn't describe it as 'squirrel proof' I'm afraid.

Good squirrel protection without the faff, quality feeder.
Well designed (well it's RSPB..) feeder. Alloy cast parts, good quality galvanised mesh and powder coated steel sturdy cage make this a quaity feeder. It is so easy to refill, just lift and remove the sturdy metal cage and pull up the top then fill. The birds went into feed within minutes of hanging it up, it has high quality Droll Yankee finish, and those feeders have lasted us years. Best of all the RSPB gets income to protect birds from each sale..

Arrived on time, very sturdy, a bit heavy but can easily hang up,value for money.easy to use.Well worth the money and it works.Watched a squirrel try to get into it, and it couldn't get to the food, so in my eyes 100% result

Probably as good as it gets
After a while using various feeders, most of which provided squirrels with as much as they could eat, I wrote down what the perfect feeder would be and this matches the description* Cage around the outside so birds can get to the nuts but squirrels can't get their faces in* Solid base so squirrels can't get their face through the cage at the bottom* Cage has to be lifted off to get access to where the nuts go - too heavy for squirrels to dislodgeI've knocked a star of as some birds seem to find that offputting - maybe they don't like being "inside" the cage part if/when there might be a predator about. May be a bit harsh as I can't think of how to get around that and still fend the squirrels off.

Squirrel proof !!
Very well made and birds are able to get to the food easily. It didn't take long for the young Squirrels to find a way in though. They are able to lift the outer cage. When approached they manage to escape through the gaps. Clamping a plastic bag sealing clip on the handle solved the problem. For now!!
