We bought this insole to relieve pressure on my wife's foot. She gets diabetic sores and the doctors want to remove the pressure when she walks. The sore is on the curve of her heel where it curves into the side of her foot. If you remove that material there, the insole collapses. I suppose if the wound was nice enough to be in the middle section of her foot, everything would be wonderful, but it is usually near the edge and this insole won't accommodate that.

Just put this together today and it really worked for me. I had a Morton’s Neuroma removed from the bottom of my foot. Have to keep pressure off for 3 weeks. I have been pretty much heel walking in surgical shoe they gave me. I kept the weight off putting extra strain on my other foot which hurt my extensor tendon. I removed pegs around incision and inserted in new shoe. I can walk and don’t feel any pressure on where incision is!Update 8/5/2019Unfortunately this collapsed after using it for only 2 weeks! I wanted so much to love this product and am disappointed that it didn’t hold up.

I was very disappointed with the durability of this product. They were down way too quickly in the area where you take out the pegs. In fact the Blue top surface ripped after only a week of wear. Will not buy this product again.
