Basic Coatings STREETSHOE Waterbased Wood Floor Finish Semi-Gloss 1 Gallon

Really liked this product. Used it to finish my new oak stair treads. The product seems to be very durable. It is easy to use. (note it is a two part system. I just mixed small batches for each coat and it worked great) I really like the drying time. I could start the next coat in less than 2 hrs. But it was ready to walk on in 24 hrs. I also used it on a bookcase and liked the results there also.

I love this product. I used a drum sander, edger..36, 60, and 120 grit..then sanded with a 220 grit. I applied street shoe sealer (1 coat) and then 4 coats of street shoe NXT semi gloss. I started to use a quarter inch roller and applied the first 2 coats but then used a synthetic pad and a brush to apply the last 2 coats. I did notice a few errors but that’s ok you can’t notice them..you can walk on this at the 24hr mark. It is 90% cured at 24hrs and fully cured w/in 7 days. To get the results I wanted 4-5 coats is necessary and well worth it. I can’t wait to do the rest of my house. I think next time I will splurge and get the t bar. Hope this review helps..

I filled the seams in a plywood subfloor, painted with Sherwin Williams Porch Paint drying 24 hours between coats, cured for 7 days, then applied two coats of this a few.hours apart and then cured for 7 more days before putting any traffic on. It's a fantastic surface, hard as a basketball court. It hasn't scratched and it swiffers or damp mops clean as new. I did notice hardness improved with the long cure times and I highly recommend that - in particular the porch paint must be very thoroughly cured before applying this. I used their spray cleaner to prep the painted surface. It has made a good cleaner of tough masses since then. Excellent value.

This is good stuff. I have been using Basic Coating product for 23 years on my white oak kitchen floor. We just did our fourth recoat of the system. If the floor is prepped per the instructions and StreetShoe is applied correctly you will have a beautiful durable floor system. The finish takes chair scuffing quite well. The place with most wear is around the kitchen table. The floor in the traffic area would last forever. If you are going to treat solid wood floors that are exposed to direct sunlight use their UV inhibitor product. Our floors in the sunlight have faded with time but they still perk up with a new topcoat.

Worked great and was super easy to apply and clean up was a snap. Put on about a year ago and it has held up strong on a floor with four active kids and two dogs. Great product !Make sure to apply 1-2 coats of the Street Shoe Catalyzed Sealer before applying. (seals wood or any stain that you have put down)

I just used this product on some old word floors I was refinishing and it was so easy to apply. The result looks great and the clean up was a breeze. Hope that it holds up like other reviews say it does

This is the BEST sealer we have ever used ! I can tell you that because I've used other well know brands like DuraSeal. Simple to place, 2hr drying time between coats, no harsh fumes. Once it's cured this will handle just about any abuse !
