Super easy to use and clean
Okay, I’ve had this for 2 years and just got it out for a recipe, lol. It is amazing! It’s easy to put together and clean. I used a bottle brush to clean the blade and vegetable skewer so I could use it right now. I ran my mixer at the lowest speed and it did great. One comment your zucchini needs to be about 6, so there is some trimming involved. It also leaves about 1/4 inch of the zucchini behind, but that was fine with me, I just ate the disk. Great buy. Will need to use more.

Easy and almost fun to use
Easy to use and works great. I’ve only used it on various potato recipes but I suspect it’s going to work great when it’s time to make an apple pie. I did buy this heavily marked down so it was a great deal for the price

Works great
First try was using older apples that were a little soft and it worked with some effort. The softness didn’t let the peel off easy but still worked. So the next apples were fresh and had no problem. It does save time and work and clean up is easy

Another great attachment for my Pro 6
I have wanted the KitchenAid Spiralizer Plus attachment for a while, but I already had a spiralizer... I have this thing about kitchen appliances and table top "devices"...I hate too many, because they clutter a kitchen and counter space. I usually only have 3 on the counters at all times, and that's including my coffee station, my KA Pro 6 Stand Mixer and a small convection oven...my most used. Other small appliances are stored away until needed. I'm also going through throwing away all plastic in the kitchen and replacing with more sustainable materials. Finally, my spiralizer took a dive to the garbage. I was getting tired of having to dig it out, set it up and then get to spiralizing. Too many pieces, blades got stuck, I hated the suction cup feet and it was 80% plastic. I found myself using a small hand held spiralizer more often. So, I wasn't spiralizing as often as I had anticipated.Yesterday, I used the KitchenAid Spiralizer attachment for the first time (just received it a couple days ago)...so simple and easy to set up! I Love KA Attachments. I only needed to connect 2 pieces into the main attached unit...the spiral attachment desired and the piece for holding the fruit/veggie securely. It was too simple. The instructions were simple to follow, and it includes a guide for each attachment blade, type of veggie/fruit and speed to use. My KA Pro 6 (15 years old) handles KA attachments with ease and this Spiralizer Plus attachment was no exception. My "Kitchen Magician" (Pro 6 adopted name) doesn't even get warm, the organic zucchini and squash sliced quickly with ease and all uniform in thickness. Even with cutting my zucchini and squash in half, the "veggie noodles" were super long...longer than premade spaghetti noodles. All Parts are so easy to clean (pre and post use), and the included box (sturdy cardboard with magnetic close and foam dividers) is sturdy enough and houses each piece conveniently. I'll eventually just put these in a drawer for even more ease of use (like I do with all my other KA attachments), but the "box" will last a few years. I love that the majority of this attachment is all metal. The large main piece is solid with only enough strong plastic/nylon for inserting/attaching the blades, and the blade attachments just have enough for snapping into place. It's simple and made well for it's purpose. I will definitely enjoy using this even daily...very convenient and easy to use.I haven't attempted using harder vegetation like "beets" even with my junky table top spiralizer. I can't wait to test this KA attachment out further. It's built sturdy, and I believe it will handle well...just need to follow the suggested blades and stand mixer speeds, in the included guide. As a caution to anyone using their KA Stand Mixer for use with attachments, ALWAYS feel the top of the machine...if it gets warm, stop and let it rest...then finish. It is very rare for my Pro 6 to get slightly warm with using any attachment, but machines outside of the professional line will warm up quicker.I definitely recommend, but I generally recommend KA attachments to those with pro line/professional series; which are built to be work horses in the kitchen...the motor is important; especially if you'll be using attachments and your mixer often; like I do.

works great
I just bought this to use to peel the apples we got this fall for apple butter and apple sauce. It is really easy to assemble and use. I had to watch a youtube video because the instruction manual doesn't really have assemble instructions or specific info about each piece. Everything is pretty sturdy except the little piece that attaches to core the apples. The base of it is plastic and it doesn't appear to be very sturdy. The peeling blade is very sharp and peels a very thin layer. However, you have to trim a piece from the top and bottom of the apples to make them flat so the apple presses against the corer and the slicing blade. Therefore, it causes a bit of waste for each apple. I was ok with that because I had bushels of apples to peel and I wasn't too concerned about the waste. Also, we used the waste for jelly. Other than some waste and a somewhat cheap coring piece, this is a great investment if you have a lot of apples to peel and slice. The rest of the pieces are very well made and they are very easy to clean. It was very easy to put all of the pieces together and get going with the peeling and slicing. I have not used the spiralizing blades, but I anticipate they will also work well.

Thoroughly Delighted!
This is a sensational attachment for the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I received this today, and first, the box is designed to be the storage case. It holds all of the blades and parts as well as a holder for the directions and booklet. The box even has a magnetic closure and as well as being "plasticized" to hold up well. Good thinking, Kitchenaid! As soon as it arrived from Amazon, I opened it up to give it a test drive. It took nearly no time at all to attach it to my mixer (and by the way, any Kitchenaid attachment will work with ANY Kitchenaid stand mixer as they haven't changed that design since 1919!). I wanted to make think sweet potato slices to oven fry for dinner, and it worked perfectly! One thing I noticed is that if the sweet potato has a tough skin as most do, it may not peel that well as the skin can tend to hold up against the peeler, but white potatoes and other things like apples will peel beautifully. I don't mind the skin on the sweet potatoes, so that was fine.Next, I used the peeler only with an apple, and it very quickly peeled the entire apple. I then used a blade and made wonderful slices. I could have done both steps at once, but I was experimenting. :) Finally, I popped in a zucchini and instantly made zucchini noodles that looked just like spaghetti. Just perfect! It's always such a great feeling when something works exactly like you hope it will, and I can't recommend this attachment highly enough. This is replacing the annoying plastic spiralizer I had which was always such a pain to use and clean. Not the Kitchenaid, however--this was so simple to use and so simple to clean. I think this is perfect for any kitchen enthusiast.

Excellent Product
My wife is extremely happy with this product! Amazing functionality, well made, easy to use and to clean! Only issue was the box looked as if it had been previously opened, was damaged and we wondered if the Spiralizer was previously used. We decided not to as there is a tear warrant on the product. The box is also used to store the product so I had to repair the damaged and ripped corners.

Very nice
Let's face it, nobody needs a £150 spiralizer - so when I saw this on sale for less than half that I leaped at it. If you just want to TRY a spiralizer than I recommend buying a £15 plastic one to start with. However, if you have a Kitchenaid stand mixer and you know that you will use a spiralizer a lot this is the way to go.It is well thought out, easy to clean, and it comes in a decent storage box - albeit a cardboard one.
