**Q: Is the coating smooth to enable glissando on a fretless bass?**
A: Killer on a fretless.

**Q: Are these for short or long scale bass guitar ?**
A: Long scale.  Do a search for short scale strings.

**Q: Does the coating dampen the effects of pinch harmonics? I use harmonics a lot and don't want to lessen that ability.**
A: Not at all.  The coating is sorta like when aluminum is anodized.  Not like other strings with actual coatings on them.  I used them on my Roscoe 5 for several years and now on my Spector NS2 for the last 5 years.  DR makes the best strings.  The feel of these is very similar to the Sunbeams.

**Q: Have you actually ever played a guitar?  How can you sell such a nasty product?  How can you sleep at night?**
A: I play the bass, I've tried a different set of DR coated strings. They're not my thing, but other players want the benefits that coating provides them. Different strokes Kirin. Check out some of the non-coated strings I do carry. Thanks.

I haven't played my bass in a while so i decided to get some new strings for it and went with these. I am blown away by these! They are the first bass strings I have ever played that don't give me blisters. I play guitar a lot so my fret hand is well worn with calluses but my plucking/picking hand is not. I played for almost 2 hours with these strings and no blisters! They sound great too with a nice punchy tone. I will buy these again!
