Wartech YC-S-9045-RD Spring Assisted 5 in 1 Pocket Knife, 8.5", Red

This is a pretty good EDC knife. I always like to be prepaired and this tool certanly helps me with that. The light is pretty strong. Its about as bright as my iphones flash but not quite. It conects to the frame of the knife with a magnet inside the aluminium tube. The tube is just the tiniest bit to big so it does wiggle around a little bit but it hasnt come loose on me yet. The ferro rod sparks nice when run through a seration on the blade. (You will have to strip off a black protective coating, the rod is grey.) I do wisch it was a little bit longer but it wouldnt fit in the knife if it was. The seatbelt cutter worked quite well on the various strings, twine and papers i tested it on Thankfully i havent had to use it on my seatbelt yet. The same goes for the window breaker, its pionty and protrudes about an eighth of an inch off of the base so i think it will do quite nicely when striking the top of a window. The spring asist is strong and locks the blade in place fermly but be warned, THIS IS NOT A LEFTY KNIFE! There is only one thumb stud and its on the left side of the knife. For right handed people like me this is ok but if you are a lefty it will make this knife hard to open quickly. The bottle opener feature is quite nice. I looked at simeler model knives but very few of them had a bottle opener built in and for the price of the other ones im surprised. this is probably one of the best tac knives on this site. Its cheaper than the other brands and you can even chose your favorite color

This has been my daily driver for a couple weeks now and it is a great knife. For under 10 bucks delivered it is a killer deal. It packs a lot of features and still maintains a thin profile that fits nicely in my pocket. The blade is fine for my use - ropes, boxes, peanut butter....etc. The flashlight is all aluminum and worked great right out of the box. It is removable and is held in place by a magnet. Mine stays put and does not rattle. The fire starter is cool and works fine. But I live in the real world and a fire starter is not something I need in my pocket every day. The window breaker is fine as well but at the very least these should be shaped as a Phillips head driver. I would prefer to have a bit driver where the window breaker is and a couple of bits where the fire starter is. So that's what I did. I ground down the window breaker and welded a bit driver there. I got rid of the fire starter and put a couple bits where the fire starter was. See photos. The only reason I took off two stars is because this knife is set up for right hand only. I had to remove the thumb knob with vise grips and glue it in on the other side. This really pisses me off because lefty's are always getting the shaft and one hand operation is essential. The color is great but the knife is just too smooth, for me, to open with one hand. Get yourself some rubberized grip tape and this knife works great with one hand and some spring assist. Great knife.

I Usually Don't Write Reviews For Items I've Bought But...Let's start off this knife from the box a beautifull looking knife i will not lie on that the blade is sharp VERY SHARP!the firestarter is amazing as well all you have to do is strike it on the circle part on your knife blade and it makes sparks(:the led is great also some what bright, bright enough to use to see thing that you've dropped or something in the yard!I love this knife and highly recommended it! i haven't tested the seatbelt cutter or even the window breaker but at one point im sure it will work fine...THERES even a bottle opener! Me and a couple friends had some sodas and i even used this knife to open it the best part is that the bottle opener is on the outside of the knife so you dont have to open the blade to use the bottle opener! It's very convenient and one more thing theres even a screw (8 point or star head) so that you can tighten the blade in place as tight as you want. the LED light and the firestarter is all magnetic inside it just stays in with a magnet not gonna lie i swung this knife as hard as i could with the leverage of my arm and it surely didnt pop out i was happy! this knife will surely last a long time... CONS theres no freaking batteries in the god dang LED light!!! They dont even tell you what size its a guessing game at that point but overall i encourage you to buy this!

Context: I researched a ton of similar knifes on Amazon and landed on this one based on price, and function. I let myself live with this knife as part of my EDC (Every Day Carry) for a month before writing this review.Review: I love it. It has the perfect size as too not feel to large or too small in your hand. The weight is really good and the clip is deep enough to all-but conceal itself inside your pocket. I made a slight modification to the flashlight bit which i will post a picture of. Essentially, like other reviews have mentioned, the flashlight bit slides out of the housing really easy. I made a simple adjustment by pulling the light housing unit out and inserting it so the pointed edges stress the edges and hold the housing in place. It doesn't seem to have bent or damaged anything and the light stays in place. Now, the blade itself is very sturdy and I feel comfortable with the assisted spring action and lock enough that I would never worry about it collapsing in my hand. I tested out the glass breaker on an old car door I had with an intact window and it worked like a charm. The seat-belt slicer gimmick looks sharp and based on how the rest of this knife has performed, I'm sure it will work if I ever had the need for it. I really have nothing bad to say about this knife and I would buy it again if I had the need.

This is the best knife I've ever owned and it costs less than a six pack. The light is very bright, the blade is sharp, the blade does not have to be deployed to use the bottle opener (seriously, why is that not standard design?), and it's a good size without being too big. Even the fire starter has come in handy. My only complaint is very minor--the flashlight is held into its sheath by magnetic force. Since it does not need to be taken out to change the batteries, I just super-glued it into its sheath. Maybe if you foresee yourself needing to take out the flashlight this is a drawback though, because before I did that it fell out fairly easily.
