Fantastic book
I’ve just finished Late Bloomers and I can honestly say no book has ever made me more happy and at peace with myself and the choices I’ve made in my working life whilst being so excited about what I might be able to achieve in the future.

For all Bloomers
Late Bloomers is a thought-provoking read that can guide everyone to bloom to their full potential – whether you’re a dandelion or an orchid. As an early achiever (dandelion) who prides herself on good grades and a STEM career, I was not the target audience for this book. However, there are universal insights for everyone to absorb, which can then be 1) actively applied to their lives, or 2) used to become more understanding of others in your personal or professional world.I personally took numerous insights on the subjects of self-efficacy, positive self-talk, self-compassion and re-framing (Chapter 7). This book allows the reader to take on an objective viewpoint of their life, whether early bloomer or late, by indirectly asking the reader: “have I met my full potential?”.The author covers some famed early bloomers who fell from grace shortly thereafter (Jonah Lehrer), but I think in some way, fails to recognize the rollercoaster of life we are all on where we get back up and reinvent ourselves. Like flowers, I believe we can bloom multiple times in different environments, even if some years we wilt. The very timely release of this book is a reflection of the state of societal values today, and proposes a way forward for individuals finding themselves in a situation where they have not yet met their full potential. The short but sweet epilogue covers some actionable tips for supporting figures of late bloomers, which in my opinion is placed perfectly and ties the book together. The organizational framework of the book is logical and follows the natural inclinations of the reader: What is the problem? How did it develop? Are there positives to being a ‘late bloomer’? How can you harness it to reach your full potential? The author has a pleasant writing style, which makes this an enjoyable read that is hard to put down. I did not expect to appreciate this book as much as I did. I have not read the author’s other works, but I will not hesitate to in the future. This book is for everyone no matter your ‘blooming’ timeline.

Amazing book!
This book went above my expectations. Very well written, very interesting and exactly what the doctor ordered for anyone who's going through a change in their life. No matter what age, this book is for you!

Uninspiring
I wanted to like it and made it into the second chapter. It reads like a list of references that has nothing inspiring.Countless names, dates, achievements with very little interesting storytelling loosely collected.
