Snark ST-2 Multi-Instrument Chromatic Tuner

This is my go-to tuner, simply because it works, it's really convenient, and it's cheap. Seriously, I use this more than my tuner pedal.

The best tuner I'v ever had for my guitar. I'm old and have had many. Love the fact that background noise doesn't affect this tuner. Gets my guitar perfectly tuned every time. The only tuner I'll ever use. Better than my battery powered Snark because it's rechargeable. Even my old beat up battery Snark has never let me down. Great company that makes a quality product for a fair price.

An instrument that looks good is only part of the equation, it has to sound good too. This product insures that for you with easy to read dial and clear indication when you’re in tune. Very nice! Fast to turn on and off, looks great with a red guitar, and has a wide pitch calibration range. I needed to tune my guitar to 426Hz and my previous tuner only went down to 430Hz. How else are you going to play Pantera and Megadeth except for online tuners and a microphone? The only downside is that sometimes it takes longer to adjust to a note (like seconds) and I think that's because it's chromatic. It functions well, is easy to use, and it's a perfect size to fit on your headstock. It has like a matte red finish that looks good, too. Overall, happy with my purchase! *Update (8/29/25): 1 month until recharge with daily practice/tuning. Very happy.

I've bought a few of these snark tuners over the years (for people playing guitars and also for violin), and the most recent one so far seems to be the best, the ST-2 multi/all instrument tuner. There used to be an issue in previous versions with the plastic part that holds the head and allows it to swivel breaking, making the item useless for vibration tuning and not very convenient for viewing as you couldn't clip it onto anything anymore. This tuner has an upgraded design with a ring around those plastic prongs that will hopefully prevent that from happening with use when swiveling the head around. The older one I had also had an issue with the red color coming off and transferring to your fingers or other things over time, not sure what caused that. So far this one seems to have a different finish, so maybe that won't happen. The display is very bright, easy to read, and the tuning is accurate. The battery life seems good, as before.

Item works great but as someone who doesn’t use these items and trying to help my kid use it. Instructions would’ve been helpful. Apparently the tighter you make your strings the more the note changes to different letters. And that’s how it’s tuned. Hopefully that will be helpful for others :)

Best of the clip-on tuners. Easily visible display, sturdy, and highly accurate.

Deze tuner is de eerste die werkt voor de F# snaar op mijn baritone, en tevens de eerste die goed werkt voor de lage "B" snaar op mijn 5-snaar bas.

I bought this tuner to tune electric and acoustic guitars using vibration mode and mounted on their headstocks. My experience is that it works very well in vibration mode for tuning both acoustic and electric guitars ... including solid body and hollow body electrics ... when mounted on the headstock. I tried tuning some solid body electric guitars using the microphone mode. I found that the microphone mode didn't work as well on solid body electrics when mounted on their headstocks. But, I didn't try putting the device closer to the body of these guitars when using microphone mode. It is sturdily made and easy to use. I would recommend that you seriously consider this Snark product if you want a great tuner to tune your guitars using vibration mode with the device mounted on your headstock.

Akustik, Western, E-Gitarre, Ukulele CHECK. Das Stimmgerät tut genau was es soll. Es stimmt mit meinem Gehör und mit meinem guten alten Korg Gerät absolut überein. Und es funktioniert sowohl perfekt im Vibrations-, als auch im Mikrofon Modus. Super, dass man das umstellen kann. Ich werde noch testen, ob es klar kommt mit dem Irish Tuning beim 4 Saiten Banjo. Aber ich hab keine Zweifel. NACHTRAG: Auch beim 4 Saiten Tenor Banjo klappt es sehr gut, zumindest im Standard Tuning. Bischen Schwierigkeiten beim Switch auf das Irish Tuning, aber nach ein wenig Hin und Her hat das auch funktioniert! Der Clip ist jetzt nicht der hochwertigste, aber es hält und ist gut für unterwegs. Das war der Grund zum Kauf! Einfach und schnell, klemmen lassen, loslegen. Die Anzeige ist klar und einfach. Springt super schnell um auf die nächste Saite , viel schneller als der Klassiker von Korg. Keine Ahnung ob es für Profis taugt, aber für mich (ich spiel seit ca 30 Jahren Saiten-Kram Hobby mäßig) reicht es absolut aus. Bei dem Preis kann man nichts falsch machen und sich drauf verlassen.
