This works exactly as described, I was amazed! I have a car stereo that has RCA video input and I wanted a way to mirror my phone or laptop to the stereo. So I got this cable and a Chromecast! The back of my stereo also has a USB port which I was able to use to power the Chromecast. It took a bit of trickery to get the Chromecast to work with my cellphone Wifi Hotspot but once you get that figured out it all works great. This cable is awesome and I'm glad it works with Netflix and other Apps that require HDMI encryption.Make sure to get this USB power adapter though. Works with pioneer 3300 nex
I use this in my truck for my son to stream YouTube while on trips he is autistic and has to have his shows had another brand and it would come in and out from the time it was new this one works flawlessly. Using it on pioneer 3300nex with a fire stick tethered through my hot spot!

Complete waste of money.
This cord is nothing short of trash. Fit in my head unit perfect but would flicker in and out every 5 seconds. I tested every other wire and cord I was using to make sure it wasn’t something else but sure enough it was this junk. There’s a reason every other RCA to HDMI unit has a power wire for it cause this thing here couldn’t hold enough power to do anything. Don’t waste your time with this.

Does what it was meant to do
Only cable that allows you to go from hdmi to rca without a power source. The resolution isn’t crisp but acceptable when in use with a double din radio such as a pioneer or a kenwood.
