Sturdy, high heat-conducting cooking surface
Product is great for stir frying or sauteing most things - heats very quickly (as it's supposed to), but can be a bit challenging for eggs, etc. - I know it's not a non-stick pan, but when used correctly with the right amount of oils, should be able to slide and toss more easily. Other foods, like vegetables, etc., have no problems, and the sloped sides make tossing a breeze. Worth the money.

Great pan
I have all clad pots and pans which I love. But this pan I bought to put on our gas grill. I can’t believe how it cooked food and the clean up was really easy. Looks new.

Best purchase I've made so far
I worked as a line cook for 8 years at a local, family-owned restaurant and these were the pans we used. I loved them, after moving on I missed having those saute pans to cook in. I found this recently and decided to give it a try. It has become my favorite fricken pan to cook in. You season and wash just like cast iron. I tend to spray out with just water, get it nice and clean, heat it up, put a pea-size amount of oil, spread it around, let it cool entirely after each use and it has become fully non-stick and a dream to cook with. Highly recommend!!

Settled on an aluminum pan because I have a glass top stove
My electric stove top just doesn't work with cast or steel pans. The center gets significantly hotter than the edges.Aluminum transfers heat much faster than steel or cast and I have high hopes that it will work out. I'm currently in the initial stages of seasoning. It seems to be working well.I'm using a cast iron formula flax oil. And every article and video I've seen says to use a lint free cloth to spread the oil and wipe it down after oiling. What better cloth to use is a gun cleaning patch. Cheap and works very well.I'm putting the pan in my oven, bottom side up, oven set to 450* and let it season for 1-2 hours. I turn off the oven and let it cool slowly. A few hours later, you see the bronze coloring the pan is taking. I will rinse the pan, heat it to dry and re-season several more times. So why only 3 stars? The bottom is not flat. It rocks on the glass top. I will fix it after seasoning.I hope my experience has helped. As an update:The pan is now well seasoned. The photo shows a clean pan after 7 or 8 seasonings using the above methodology.Eggs, hash browns, pork chops, burger patties, bacon all cook as well as my Faberware non-stick.\And clean up is a breeze, using hot water and a dish sponge. It does use a much lower temp setting, but I get a nice, even heat load in the pan using my glass top stove. If your glass top is an induction stove it will not work. The pan, after all is aluminum. It sits flat, now, after a solid whack on the bottom where the low spot was. Used a scrap piece of 2x4 and a dead blow hammer in order to get wide, even pressure. Do not use a claw hammer directly on the pan. It is, after all, aluminum.Hope this helps ...

Not easy to clean
I’ve had multiple aluminum frying pans. Definitely spend the money for something better. This one is very course and rough and everything will stick to it.

This is the tool of an artist
I bought this pan specifically for backpacking/camping thinking that it would be lightweight seeing as how it is all aluminum. In that regard it is a major fail. This thing is super thick. It weighs more, I'd venture, than any other 10 inch pan I've ever had except cast iron. That said, I'm giving it 5 stars anyway because I recognize it for what it is and that is the tool of an artist. It's hard to compare it to other pans I've had. It heats up and distributes heat better than any other pan I've ever used. It is NOT nonstick, but that should be obvious. Anyway, the only thing non-stick is good for is making clean up easier. For the most part, nothing cooks better on a nonstick surface... eggs maybe... depending on what you are going for. So you get the benefit of the nice crust that forms on foods when cooking on a non-stick surface, but the amazing thing is how the stuff cooked on to the pan releases in the wash water. No scrubbing required. What sorcery is this? I have plans to buy the same pan in the 12 inch size since that is my preferred size for in-kitchen use. Oh, and you can probably see in the picture that it's not much to look at, but I'm ok with that. The beauty of the artists tools are in their ability to produce great art. Highly recommended if you make art in the kitchen... or try to.

Great frying pan.... very durable!
Love my pan! It took me few tries to get used to it after using non-stick pan for a long time, but this is great, I can sear my food, put it in the over, I will be looking to purchase another one; larger size. Overall very satisfied with this product. Also, it is super easy to clean. Even when I have food sticking to it, I let it soak in water for a few minutes and it all comes off like magic. Truly happy with this purchase.
