Red Devil4071 Create-A-Color Die-Cast Aluminum Pro Caulk Mixer, 1-Pack, Gold

This caulk mixer works great. We have tried the Sashco mixable caulk, the RedDevil, and others. The nice thing about this mixer is that you can use whatever caulk you want and just add your own paint. What we have found works best is Dap clear caulk from the HarDware store with 30 mls of paint. 20 mls (which is what the RedDevil requests) is too few; 40mls is too many. The caulk does shrink quite a bit unfortunately, but we have not found one that does not. Must be the dilution. The process of mixing is easy: take out the back end of the caulk tube, remove 20-30 mls of caulk to make room for paint, add the paint, mix (hold the caulk tube AND the mixer to keep them from separating while mixing), reinsert the back endow the caulk tube and you're in business. It's advisable to mix as many tubes as you may need all in one go, to save clean up hassles. The mixer cleans up well; there are good instructions include how to take it apart.The primary downside is that the caulk does shrink, and that the sheen is shiny, which may be a different sheen from the wall paint. Haven't figured out a solution to either problem yet, but the mixer is great.

I do t give a lot of 5 star reviews but nothing to complain about this but it is a pain to clean but that's just part of it. Works really good holds the tube of caulking well haven't had any messes or blowups yet.

All I can say is if you do any painting and are obsessed with no gaps in your moldings and walls, but it takes you forever to fill and paint the—this is your tool. First it is very well built and will last a long time, no crappy plastic to break. Second, it is so easy to use, just squeeze the bottom off of the tube you are using (works best with clear) add your color, mix, replace bottom and you are good to go. I cant believe I waited or took so long to find a tool like this, literally hours off of a paint job.

Works really well. We are cabinetmakers and a lot of people are now choosing custom colors- this is by far the best way to get a matching caulk. Only wish there were somehow a choice of a less shiny finish on the caulk.

This tool is a huge time saver and simple to use.Note: the color match worked best for gloss or semi-gloss paint. When matching a satin or eggshell paint, the caulking has noticeably more sheen.
