This is well constructed and fits snugly. I can share that not all inserts are equal in weight, some are 6 lbs. and others are 8 lbs. Just want buyers to know in case they want to vary the weight when using it. Highly recommend as it is priced lower most alternatives.

Excellent value. I got it with a coupon deal, but honestly worth much more. The weight is great and highly adjustable. It fits my body perfectly, but does sit a little high. The Velcro doesn’t have to work against gravity or anything so it stays strong. I didn’t notice any smell issues or sand leaking as of yet

Turns a dog walk into a leg workout! Increases aerobic demands. Better than a backpack as it distributes the weight more evenly = less back aches. I find it comfortable even though I did not get the extra shoulder pads. (I got the 20# vest). The removable weights work well and are an important reason for my purchase - it allows me to adjust the load depending on how I feel that day, etc. Only reason for 4 stars is that it does make you sweat more where the vest sits against your skin - front and back. Seems like some kind of semi rigid mesh, etc could be used to allow some air between the skin (your shirt) and the vest. Probably wouldn't wear it shirtless for this reason. Other than that I'd say it is well designed and durable.

Well made design, easy to adjust for size with stretchable sides. He’s 5’11” and less than 150 lbs. at his adjusts to his slim size without being too bulky. Weights are easy to remove/replace. Color is black. No strong smell, as some new ones have. Great price! No sand leakage. My son is using it to train for a fire fitness test and this well priced vest will do well for his workout needs.

When you pick this thing up and feel the full weight you think, "there's no way Im going to be able to put this on". Then you carefully slide in to it and realize that the perfect weight distribution makes this pretty darn bearable. In fact, your legs are more likely to get tired than your back is!I needed this to train for a fitness test coming up. I love the ease of adjusting the weight to what I want, and the 5 pockets on both sides give you options for where you put the weights. Its comfortable and the lower chest band gives great support. I didnt get the ones with the shoulder pads, and while I do think they would make it more comfortable, you can easily add your own make shift padding that will do the same thing. This is a great exercise tool to really help you build muscle and strength. Its very good quality and seems like it will be durable over time.

The product is great and I'm glad I went with the shoulder straps. I like how I can adjust the weight easily and the compartment for my phone was very useful.

I am 63. I have not been working out continuously. When I try doing a weight workout, I can tell I am simply weak. I am using this to slowly build the amount of weight I can carry. (waiting on those grandkids to be born)!This helps because started with just the vest, no weights. I wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for a week. Then I added 1 weight (about 2 lbs) and wore it for 15 minutes twice a day for another week. The week after (this week), I added another weight (about 2 lbs). I put one in the front pocket and one in the back pocket to even it out a bit. There are 8 -2lb weights that I can add, plus the weight of the vest itself. I do believe it is working. I do feel stronger than I did the first day. I recommend this one if you want to start slow and build up. The others I looked into did not offer the ability to remove & add weights at will, so I like that this does. Although there are other vests that would be better for "runners," I could not start with the smallest amount of weight I saw on those. Sadly the smallest weight was only 20 lbs, but I know I am not there yet. I also have a condition, a disease, that I was told would slowly take away my muscles, which is why I am so weak, and why I am hoping this will help. After I get to the full weight of the jacket, I hope to start increasing the amount of time I am wearing the vest. I believe it is a good purchase. It was very well-made and sturdy. It does kind of make me feel like I am wearing a bulletproof vest.
