Thin but glows
I got this set of 8 self-luminous neon paints so that I could use them in my rock projects. I am part of a group that paints pretty pictures and stuff on rocks, we then hide them and post hints on where to find so that others may hunt for our rocks and keep them or turn around and hide them again. My daughter and my whole family love to take part in painting rocks so I thought that these glow in the dark paints would be a great addiction to our paint collection. I painted my first rock with them today. They are pretty expensive for such small bottles of paint however you don't need much paint to go a long way. I was first a bit disappointed because of how thin the paint is. It goes on very watery and doesn't cover the rock as much as I had hoped it would. However it id look better with a 2nd coat. It reminds me of water colors when I was done with the application of the first coat, kind of splotchy like clouds. I put it under a fan though and it dried fairly fast so I could apply a 2nd coat and/or work on the back side of the rock. I usually work with an acrylic paint so I am used to thicker evenly laid layers. I also noticed that if I went too fast with my brush strokes it causes bubbles, however the bubbles went away without any help as the paint dried. I put it under a lamp to charge it with the light and I notice that the blue an green color seem to glow more than any of the others. I also noticed that the thicker the paint the more the paint tends to glow, so it glowed more in the cracks of the rock where more paint settled. I haven't charged it long so I am hoping that with more time it will give off more of a glow. I also wonder if they work well under a black light, but I haven't had the chance to test that theory. Overall happy with them and excited to see the possibilities that we will find to use these for!

Still waiting for the glow and where is the red?
We painted a foam ball and no glow. The description reads red and I don't see red in the box. It looks more like pink and hot pink.
