Love these!
These are working great for my cabinets (no nobs or pulls). I didn't want to screw anything into my cabinets and tried these as an alternative. So far... perfect! I also purchased another brand but these are by far superior in my opinion. My daughter is intrigued by them, but so far hasn't figured them out (she's 16 months) and hopefully by the time she does, she won't care what's in the cabinets anymore. These are easy to attach... literally takes less than a minute. Easy to open and close. Love that when you open, the strap part can swing down so that it isn't in the way of the cabinet door. And nice it opens from both sides. I haven't yet taken them off, so can't comment on whether or not it ruins the surface... hope not, although my cabinets are not painted. Highly recommend if you don't want to put holes in your cabinets. I also have these attached to a draw front that is next to a cabinet door and it is working great (attached one side to the drawer and one side to the cabinet). Hooking two drawers together doesn't work... they just open at the same time. But if something is next to the drawer, such as a solid surface or cabinet door, it will work.

Works great
This works great for cupboards.. easy to put on and easy to open. So far our little one (2y) hasn't figured out how to open them. In fact she doesn't show much interest in them at all so that's good. They are a bit (very) noticeable though. .. we've had a few house guests that saw them and were like, "What's that??". So i feel like if you don't want them to stand out, maybe a different solution would be best.I haven't taken any off so I can't comment about the removal of them.Note: they won't work on drawers unless you have something to connect one of the sides to. We have 3 drawers stacked in the kitchen .. to the left is the oven and to the right is a stove. So in our case they wouldn't work because if we connected drawer-to-drawer, they'd still open. If you had drawers with cabinets next to them, or freestanding drawers they would work fine.

saving my sanity!
We needed something to keep our (at the time of ordering) 14 month old son out of his dresser. Ever since he became mobile at 7 months, we haven't been able to use his dresser because he'd crawl up to it and pull everything out. After some hemming and hawing over different brands and reviews, we finally said screw it and went with these. They are a little unsightly as they are large on the ends, but they are AMAZING. They sick VERY well. My 16 month old runs in his room and pulls and tugs on these things and they don't budge. I love very much that either end is detachable. If I want to do any re-arranging, I I can get them out of the way. I don't have to deal with clean clothes all over the floor anymore! Woohoo!We definitely do not plan on taking them off his dresser any time soon, so I can't attest to how easy the glue is to take off. I can say that his dresser surface is not a "clean" surface though. It is a rough surface as it was a refinished dresser. It's not perfectly polished flat and these still hold amazingly well. We've had them on there for a couple of months, even went on vacation for 2 weeks, leaving the house with no a/c on at all in August and they still stuck on. That glue is on there!! If and when we take them off, I'm sure some Goo-gone will take the rest off of the surface. (That stuff takes goop off anything!) We will definitely be buying these if we have more dressers or something else to lock a nosy little boy out of!

Works but doesn’t work (?)
Certainly strong adhesive, as it ripped the paint off. But unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be effective on painted surfaces bc my toddler pushed and it just ripped off the paint.

use command strips instead of the adhesive they come with
I am a renter and wanted to child proof but also be able to take whatever I put up down with no damage. This works great! However, after reading other reviews I did not use the adhesive that comes in the bands. I used command strip instead. I have them up only a couple weeks now but so far so good. I was able to attach them in seconds! A lot of baby proofing stuff I have seen are complicated. These are supper easy to install and I love how easy it is for me to get into my cabinets (push the Grey tabs in on either side). These made baby proofing my cabinets super easy. My cabinets don't have handles so finding something was a little challenge. If I need I can also proof the fridge, toilet, and dressers too in seconds.

Great product, only four completely flat cabinet does w/o borders.
This product is well made and strong. One major design flaw, which is why 4 and not 5 stars.The strap, it's one size. If you have cabinets that have a border design, this will not work. The strap is too long, causing it to pop off, if you put at the two edges of the cabinets, yet not long enough to place on the inside of the border.I contacted munchkin, they were amazing on the phone, and shipped me some of their other products free of charge.

A++++
My 18mo twins get into everything! And any "child-safety" products act as a deterant for a day or two at most before they figure it out. They have been getting into the kitchen drawers and I was scared that they could hurt each other with a utensil, etc. To make matters worse, we cannot drill into the cabinets. These Latches were the perfect solution! First, installation could not be any easier or faster. The latch can be placed very tightly so that the drawer or door can only be opened a hair when locked and therefore there is no danger of them pinching their fingers (which is not the case with most child safety locks). You can also open and close them with one hand (a big plus when you're juggling kitchen objects and two toddlers. Whereas with most other locks you have to drop everything and use two hands.) I've had them close to a month and the glue isn't budging. The only thing I cannot attest to is removal. I'm not planning on taking them off any time soon and I hope that when I do it doesn't damage the wood. My kids haven't figured out how to open them because it requires pinching both sides at the same time and pulling, but they love helping me close them! I couldn't be happier with my purchaseBasically, these latches are great!! A+ for Munchkin.
