Beautyrest 3-inch Sculpted Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper Queen by ComforPedic Loft

Very pleased with this topper! I ordered this after finding my only three year old mattress to have started to be downright pain-inducing at night. Upon arrival the topper unrolled itself easily. I left it out draped over the couch for about two to three hours, then put it on the bed - it was easy to temporarily roll back up to move from room to room by myself as well as to unroll onto the bed by myself. While there was a normal foam scent, I found it to be minimal and to dissipate quickly. It was also very easy to put a mattress protector over the topper, which I chose to do to help protect it.The first night was significantly more comfortable sleeping than I have experienced in awhile, and my overall achiness has lessened since adding this. A huge surprise is that even with the mattress protector covering the topper, I have found my temperature to be far more stable at night. Though I used to sweat considerably each night, I no longer do. The foam seems to spring back to shape quickly. I am extremely pleased with this item and would recommend it readily to anyone looking to improve a mattress that seems to have become less comfortable. I had used one other topper in the past, which was a basic foam type, and the quality of this one far surpasses that. The fact it keeps me cooler too really makes this purchase worthwhile.

I purchased this foam topper to go on my 19 year old son's bed. I set it on top of the mattress and added a hypoallergenic cover (very thin, not a pad). I put it on the bed smooth side down. After reading the reviews about some people not liking the texture, I asked him how it felt. He didn't even notice it. He said it was really comfortable. The egg crate is very deep. So, I was surprised it didn't even register for him. It is obvious. I purchased this because I can get hot on foam toppers and I thought the design would help. (Important because we use this room as a guest room also.) Some people also commented on it changing colors. It came out of the box looking almost a little faded in places. The documentation says this is normal. Personally, no one will ever see it, so I don't know why anyone would care. My son said it was awesome and he didn't want to get up. What more could I want? I came on today to get another one for my other son's bed.

Unfortunately this topper made my back worse that before. It's a nice foam, I guess my back just needed a different one. I replaced this and I'm much more comfortable. I do however realize that everyone has different sleeping needs so I've this one on my extra bed. It also rips very easily.

Love this product on our queen bed. The product came in properly packed (shrink-wrapped tightly packed in a box.) Box a bit heavy upon receipt so careful to bend from knees when moving it. The foam had a slight smell from being packed tight which was understandable. We just exposed it out in open air for a max of 3 hrs and that did the trick. Soft enough for comfort; cooling factor better than those eggshell foams. Noticed edges turning "yellowish" but only stayed on edges and did not get any bigger after 6 months of use. Priced right for the deal offered at time of purchase. Would purchase another one but maybe thicker for futon bed in guest room. Will recommend to others.

The topper gave me the perfect amount of softness that I needed on my mattress. If you're a hot sleeper, like me, I would recommend using 100% cotton sheets with this topper. I placed the waffle side down directly on my mattress, covered it with the mattress pad/protector, then the cotton sheet. The topper gets warm, but with the cotton sheet it doesn't make me hot or feel the need to move to a cooler position. However, I think a person could get very warm if this topper is used with a poly-blend sheet. I did waffle side down because it wasn't soft enough for me with the waffle side up. The flip made it perfect.

This memory foam is very comfortable and really does a great job of hugging your body but not too tight. My major complaint is that it is poorly made. Just rolling it out on the bed it started to rip a tiny bit in between the peaks and valleys of the foam. 9 months later and it is unusable because all of the tiny rips became large rips. Now it is in multiple pieces and needs to be thrown out. I would expect to get more than a year out any item I buy if I am going to spend over $100 on it.

The difference that this has made on my too-firm mattress truly astounds me. I have had for over 6 months now, and I have continuously slept comfortably on it since. It did raise my bed a little, so the sheet has trouble staying on, but if I had new sheets instead of 10 year old ones it probably wouldn't be an issue. I have not had any extra "heat" from the foam, which was a big concern when shopping for it - it doesn't necessarily "cool", but it doesn't get hot. I also had a concern about getting too thin of one when shopping since I am plus size, and that hasn't been an issue at all. So glad I bought it, and wish I bought it sooner!

In the dictionary gel means jelly like substance and this product is not! It's only a piece of foam. While the product is soft it did nothing to aleve my pain and in fact it was the worst night's sleep I've had.
