Finally a metric version of this book! There are so many great recipes in this book and now they are made easy to understand and follow. I had the old version in cups and tsp...i was going crazy. The book covers almost everything, from cakes to tarts, from mousses and creams to iced desserts and sweet drinks. Interesting the part about chocolate decorations, even if now we can find it in so many books about chocolate.The book may be not for beginners, but the recipes are very well explained, and all the dessert i tried turned out great

Nice recipe book, but it doesn't deserve more than 3 stars. I already contacted Le cordon bleu culinary school for their imperfections (those that have and studied both books will understand).

In just the first 20 pages Zi found out information that I had been looking for for ages. So pleased that I bought the pastry one as well.

I have dozens of cookery books, some are good, some are a waste of time. This one, appears to be one of the really useful ones. The chocolate Swiss Roll recipe is the first I have made that has come out as a wonderfully light sponge roll. Simple recipe but it works.
