I personally love, but I can see it not working for everyone.
I am the type of person that likes to hoard a bunch of different types of palettes for my watercolors. Honestly, it really is because I wanted to find something compact yet big enough to hold all my colors without taking up too much space. Most palettes I find are connected by a spring or have wells that make the palette bulky. I personally like to have my paints separate from my mixing palette so I wanted to find something that literally just fit my paints and thats it.This product was basically perfect for me. I was hesitant in buying a tin for $12 when I been using a $1 altoids mint tin box but it was exactly what I wanted it for. It is also a plus that it comes with empty pans with already glued on magnets to help ease the process. When closed the tin is pretty sturdy since the paints and empty pans inside fit in it perfectly. Although when the pieces are apart (lid off) I do feel wary about its sturdiness. Keep in mind that it can bend very easily when it is taken apart (lid off) so I can see it getting damaged in someone's bag or dropping it.Overall, the palette is perfect for me and gets the job done. I literally used to buy random palettes and boxes to make a more convenient palette that I would like and when that didn't work out I would buy another one. This is the first time I bought a palette and been so content with it that I haven't purchased another palette since.P.S. Just in case anyone was wondering the sticker on my palette is made by an artist named @maruti_bitamin on instagram.

Custom palettes for cheap
I have a large number of tube watercolor paints from nearly a dozen brands. Some of them I use in custom made palettes for a range of popular color hues (blues, greens, yellows, etc.) and some for my favorite brands like M. Graham and Mission Gold. Plus, I like to have all of them in separate palettes so I keep track of all the possibilities. Watercolor paint is so wonderful to have so many options. They can be used in tiny amounts for a very long time. So, I searched for the cheapest way to distribute my paints in these particular ways. This empty paint tin with "half pans" is excellent. Only one of my paint collections is too big for it (Holbein 60) but the rest are just fine.I also ordered a sheet of stick-on magnets to apply to the bottoms of those tiny "half pans" so that they would stay put when I opened the tin. The stick is vexatious for them because some of them pop off. Use mounting tape in the bottom of it and put the pans on in a more lessMany of the tins available are too rounded on the corners to fit the pans efficiently but the Booyee is the best of the lot. All things considered, this is a great option.

Exactly what I was looking for!
It's perfect! I just wanted something plain that I could decorate myself (on the outside - time to raid the sticker drawer!) and to be able to swap out different colors, mix my own, whatever. The magnets hold well! Easy to open/close. Nice and compact, lots of pans for the ridiculous amount of colors I forsee myself buying, lol.
