Just because it's workstation grade, doesn't mean Sapphire did a better job than on their desktop fail products.
Sapphire has proven over and over again to not stand behind their products. Replacing failed cards with failed cards. Giving the run-around, asking to test in multiple systems (after you tell them that the card fails in 3 systems on the bench). Drag out the whole ordeal just to tell you that your warranty is now expired. Would never support Sapphire again. I wish AMD would pick a better partner. Heck, for that matter, any other company would do.

Disappointing First Impressions
Having used the FirePro V4800 in an HP Z400 workstation we gave the W5000 a go for a new Z170 system. I'm starting to regret it. First, what's wrong with a little documentation? The Catalyst Control Center on the HP is simple and straightforward. What you get with the W5000 is something called FirePro Settings (and FirePro Advanced Settings - did you really need to add two items to my context menu?). Here Desktop Management gets moved to something called Eyefinity Multi-Display. I couldn't figure it out so I tried the user manual. Chapter 4 - Using the Control Center Software is exactly two pages long and explains how to start the software on both Windows and Linux. Thanks.BTW, don't try the Check for Updates option. It seemed odd to download a driver from AMD only to find a major update available. The "update" wasn't for FirePro Settings but rather an excuse to install half a dozen other "utilities" on my brand new Windows installation. I uninstalled the whole mess and reinstalled the only the driver. To spend $350 on a graphics card and end up using Windows desk.cpl to set up your desktop was my first disappointment. Strike 1.Actually that wasn't my first disappointment. That came when I hit the power button for the first time and the FirePro's fan spun up. Silent PC no more. I have the old V4800 sitting right next to me and can't hear it for the racket my new W5000 is making from halfway across the room. The fan spins down when the monitors go to sleep but every couple minutes spins back up for a second or two to remind you you spent $350 on a W5000. The noise alone may eventually drive me to get rid of it. Strike 2.And attention to detail. I purchased two Cable Matters DP to DVI cables from Amazon to run my DVI displays. They fit fine on the V4800 with a couple of mm between them. On the new W5000 you can jam them into the two DP ports but it's an interference fit and can't be good for the connectors. So I also wasted money on a cable I can't use and instead have to use the short adapter that came with the W5000. Also, when I installed the W5000 it missed the center of the slot in the back panel by a full mm. I assumed it must be a problem with the case (though the ATX back panel connectors fit perfectly). Now I'm not so sure. Strike 3 ???All this and I haven't even started using the W5000. I'm assuming that's going to be okay. My two stars here are for first impressions and to balance all the five-star happy talk that sounds more like the ATI marketing department than actual users. I'll leave it here so long as there are no more disappointments.Pros: I assume it’s going to work.Cons: The fan makes a racket, the Settings software is useless, DP ports don't work with my cables.UPDATE - Amazon is being a real champ and letting me return the FirePro for a refund. The fan noise was ridiculous. I pulled the FirePro out and my system is once again nearly silent. Now, let’s see if my cheap aftermarket DisplayPort cables work on a Quadro.UPDATE: They do.

Excellent Graphics Card
I recently bought the card to build up my workstation for Digital Animation. So far the card has performed perfectly, I have no complaints. I needed something powerful that could bring me in the mid range rank for production, but also a machine that I wouldn't have to worry about upgrading, at least, in the near future. For that build up, this graphics card worked perfectly. THANKS ATI!

Super Easy setup.
Super easy to setup, plug and play. Only comes with one display port adaptor, you will need to purchase an additional one for the 3rd monitor if setting up for DVI.
