Since moving to our new house, I've spent 6 months struggling with my hair. It's long, curly, and thick and transitioning from untreated well water to soft well water was horrible. My 20-year bottled shampoo/conditioner routine left oily residue on my scalp...ick! At the same time, we're trying to reduce plastic use and be kind to the septic with fewer suds, so this was like a monumental challenge! I tried other shampoo bars, but all left my hair desert-dry or like an oil slick! When I added Sweet & Sassy's purple conditioner bar to those trials, I saw improvements, so decided to give their shampoo bars a try. What a flipping difference! My hair is soft and perfectly moist, just like it had always been! I also changed up my shower routine and comb while rinsing the shampoo then comb the conditioner in. That process worked out better because I no longer deal with tangles or broken ends (even after wrapping it in a towel)...if you have hair like mine, you understand that struggle! I'm in love with this system and finally have my hair back! Plus, my anti-perfume husband hasn't banished it from the bathroom!

I bought this after searching for a shampoo bar that is gentle on color-treated hair. I’m really pleased with this product. It leaves my hair super soft and not dry at all. I have fine, thin hair and I color it so I’ve always had to use conditioner, but not with this. It lathers very well and a little goes a long way. Seriously, one swipe around my head when my hair’s wet and I can lather my whole head and then some.it’s also helped preserve the color, which is what I was looking for. So for me, this is perfect. When this runs out (which will be in a while because it’s lasting a long time), I will buy more. If you’re debating this, give it a shot!

What can I say? This stuff works well, and is easy to use. I have long (nearly waist-length) hair with average thicknesss, and a little goes a long way. You can take a couple swipes of the bar down your wet hair, or, like I do, lather a bit between your hands and then shampoo away. It leaves my hair thoroughly cleaned without stripping it, and it rinses clean as well. I generally prefer unscented products, but the fragrance (from essential oils) is light and refreshing, and very pleasant. My daughters and I have been using this product for over a year, and have no complaints.

I wanted to find a SLS-free shampoo and a solid. I have tried ACV shampoo bars; the one I tried was rectangular. I found that with that shape, it wore out more through the center (perhaps I was using it incorrectly), which made using the last bit of it very difficult. Found these bars and I love them. I thought maybe I would use them only for travel, but I've become an everyday user. Hair gets clean without getting stripped, lathers nicely (Beware: No mountains of sudsy foam, so if that's your thing, these will disappoint), and rinses easily. And for me, a great benefit is the ability to very easily "marry" a heavily used bar into a new one. Bar wears easily around the round edges and its softness allows you to press the used bar into a new one. Finally--no more throwing out of shampoo bottles! Refills came in a paper box, and the original round plastic container works beautifully over and over as a means of packing the shampoo. Love these!

I waited for just over a month to see how long these little guys will last-on the right you see the disc I have been using, on the left a brand new one. I used it to wash my hair at least 6 days a week, and my hair is about half-way down my back, although not thick. The lather is rich, and it doesn't weigh my hair down. I definitely need conditioner afterwards, but I expected that. I have no doubt that each disc will probably last about 3 months. Maybe I'll update then!*Update* 4 months later and I'm still using a sliver of my original disc. Very happy with how long, and we'll, this lasts!
