My son, 13 y/o loves it
Yes it is challenging to assemble but that's the goal i bought this mini lego not lego.It took few hours for my son to build it. It's relaxing time, no gadget but focus on doing it. He learned to be patient. The result was satisfying. He loves it, i love it, everyone loves it. The light is wonderful.I dont think it is suitable for under 10 y/o but it depends on the kids skill too.

Disappointed at first - worked it out.
Edited -- Customer service on the problems with this little guy was excellent. It doesn't, at this time, solve the issues but the design is being adjusted so the main issue of the lights should be resolved shortly in a modified version of this kit. This is a cute little astronaut designed to sit on the edge of a shelf with an open area (his backpack) that can be used for pencils, flashdrives and other office supplies. However, that is ALL it is. It is supposed to also act as a little light (faceplate) but that is not the case. You are also supposed to easily change the faceplate according to the product description and that's not true. With a little work, you can get the lights to work, partially because of the limit to "interchangeable" on the faceplate - see below. The bricks fit tight and that helps if you have it sitting on a shelf. If it falls off, it might not break up into too many pieces.Howerer, there are a few problems. Starting with the instructions that are too small and difficult to read. There is no parts list for either the entire kit, nor each step. It is not easy to see the "edges" of each piece to see what is needed for each step. The description said the faceplates (clear, smoke) were interchangeable. They are NOT! Interchangeable means you can pop off one faceplate and pop the other in. You have to disassemble most of the helmet to be able to change the faceplate. That adds additional complexity because the instructions only show the dark faceplate and that is harder to see the edges of the pieces than is the clear faceplate. There is a problem with the lights because of a change in the design/model of the battery pack. It won't fit in the space designed in the astronaut's head. I figured out a workaround that uses the limit on the faceplate. Just use a few of the "other" option for the faceplate (I used the smoke) to make a small platform that fits inside (on one end) of the backpack. Place the battery pack on that with the switch UP and run the wires through the switch area, across the battery compartment, and into the faceplate area. Now you can light up the face. It has the advantage of being able to change the batteries as needed!Overall. it's a cute kit but its not all that is described and took a bit of thinking to get what I wanted out of it. I did lose half the open backpack opening.

Adorably small
For this for my husband. The pieces are SO tiny, he was having a little bit of troubles with his manly hands. I loved it ❤️🤣 he had fun though!!

Buy the REAL nanoblocks instead and avoid this product
AVOID this product! I bought a second similar product and they both had the same problems/issues..The quality of this product is absolutely abysmal when compared to the real nanoblocks owned by a Japanese company..Some pieces fit, some don’t. My 12 years old girl resorted to banging pieces together with a plastic mallet! The “tolerance” levels for the quality/size of the pieces are doubtful..The instructions are HORRIBLE and difficult to follow. They condensed down the steps too much. It was tricky to follow and the coloring scheme on the instructions were dreadful. And some worded instructions to follow along with the pictures would have been much helpful, and absolutely needed!.The switch and battery box for the light did not fit. I had to use an X-Acto knife to shape off the the plastic here and there in order to get a proper fit..There were missing pieces. For example, if you needed 15 pieces, you had only 14 or 13..Some pieces were cracked or showed stress fractures that probably resulted when the pieces were produced..Why did I not return this product? Because I wanted to MAKE this WORK and FINISH this. But I ended up spending way too much time… And I had to try 2-3 times before I got some steps right.

Light not Working
It's a fun little set, kept me occupied for much of the day. The instructions are hard to read, especially once you get to the transparent pieces. My biggest problem is that I can't get the light to turn on. I don't know whether my issue is the batteries facies the wrong way, or if there's something with the wiring I'm not getting. Either way, I can't get it to turn on, which is disappointing.

Turns out really nice
Gifted to a friend, he was able to complete it in a couple of hours, and it turned out amazing. The instructions aren't the easiest to read, and he had to guess a little when it came to the transparent pieces, but it was definitely doable.Overall, my friend loved this, and my sister and I are considering purchasing some for ourselves
