Unique Shape to Cuddle
My cats absolutely love this cat cave. It's their favorite place to sleep and play. Unfortunately it doesn't wash well. One of my cats had peed in it and it couldn't just be 'dabbed' dry. I had to throw it in the washing machine because it soaked through. It lost its circular shape and would collapse on the cats. Not that they minded. They still sleep and play in it. I think it should be 'water proofed'.

Wonderful!!! Super product and awesome guys at Twin Critters!
I bought another cat cave and it came today. My cats have had their original beds for some time now, but we took advantage of a sale and bought another. It was cat mayhem all day as all of them battled for control of it. There must be something nice about a fresh, clean cat cave that they just couldn't resist. I can't say enough that these beds have been the best. Please, if you buy one and your cat doesn't like it, give them time. I talked my neighbor into getting two for her cats, and they only turned their noses up at them. She was going to return them, but I convinced her to give them a chance. It was only a matter of some time, and now the beds are her cat's favorite place to hang out. Mine have been clawed, completely covered in hair (a lint brush works great for that, by the way) barfed on and washed, chewed on, and generally mauled in every possible way, and they still look great and are going strong. I wish Twin Critters had a people sized one. This is an awesome bed! As soon as I had it out of the box, and still on the counter where I unpacked it, two of my cats were already in it. They loved the box it came in, popped all the packing bubbles, played with the wool ball that came with it, and have taken over the pod. They play and sleep in it and they flatten it and sleep on it as well, and it seems sturdy enough to handle it all. And, it looks nice in my living room and it has no "wool" or animal smell to it. It came in 2 days, and in perfect shape. Can't complain about anything except I have more than 2 cats and it looks like I am going to have to buy each one. They've had their pod several days now and they show no loss of interest in it - cats are so notorious for getting bored with new things, but I think this is truly a winner! As to size, most of my cats are all pretty big animals (17-24 pounds) and none of them have any problem fitting in. My one little girl, at 10 pounds, easily squeezes in with any of the big boys and they seem perfectly happy. A win on every side!May 1st - I've had this pod for a few more days and it is still like a cat magnet. I really, really recommend the guys at Twin Critters if you are looking at a pod for your cats. They carry a great product, are great guys, and have amazing customer service. We - my many rescue cats and I - could not be more pleased!Just an update. It's now July and these pods have taken a beating. They get clawed, fought over, eaten in, barfed on (and they wash up great) squashed, and they still are in perfect condition. A decent lint brush will clean them up to new condition. My kids still love them. When I first got them, I had one cat who appeared a bit unimpressed, and if he was the only cat I had I would have returned the bed. Well, he has claimed one now and I can nearly always find him in it. So I give a full 6 paws up now to a wonderful product. So glad we found these and I still say the guys at Twin Critters are the best!

Fits the Biggest of Cats
this is a purchase I had to really think on I first was going to make it myself... After looking at the price of wool and never done wet felting before... well I was afraid I'd end up in a heaping mess... On the other hand I really want personalized... Not really plain looking... Also I have an extremely large cat that everyone says that's the biggest cat they've ever seen... There are a few cat cage out there that say extra large but if you read the dimensions are actually smaller than this one... She has no problem I wish I would have filmed the unboxing she was in before we even had a chance to see her jump in we turned our backs and boom there she was.... She always had a curiosity for sacks... the other two cats we have don't seem to be interested but on the other hand they kind of let Lilly lead the way so she already claimed it so I just they let it go for now.... it's made very well and I was able to personalize it like I wanted with needle felting... I'm very new at needle felting and this was easy as pie... Well actually easier than pie some of my pies don't turn out so well... LOL... So if you're thinking about buying a cat cave this is the one I would go with seriously... I'm the type of person when I get something in my head I'm going to get it I usually do it right away but this was something I took a few weeks to check on figure out... Have no regrets... I couldn't get a decent picture of her name on it because I couldn't get her out of it to do it

AMAZING! Love this. Don't wait--buy it.
We got this specifically for one of our two cats that always was soothed by blanket tents we would fashion on the sofa. He is very sensitive to what is happening around him and noises, so we realized he likes confined spaces where he has no worries about what's around him and feels in control of his space. When I saw this product, I was first drawn to it because it wasn't a typical tent or tunnel found in pet stores (which are ugly), plus I liked that we could still see him vs. him being in a tunnel, etc. It would allow him to still feel he's hangin' with the crew, but again, in control of his space and like he was not "seen".Got the Cat Cave and we thought due to his picky personality (I was sure he would be persnickity and like the homemade blanket only) thought it could take a few days or putting some treats in it.But no--we placed it on the sofa where we normally made his tent, and he IMMEDIATELY was drawn to it. Within 1 minute he hopped in, was scratching and making sure his scent was all over it. He hopped in and out, and was literally giddy about "his" home. My heart soared. He even let's our other very outgoing cat know it is off limits--it is HIS SPACE, period. We move it to the bedroom at night and he happily hops in to go to sleep. He normally slept under the bed or under a dresser. By morning, he moves and lays on top of it (he figured that feature out on his own!).Highly recommend this product. It is also beautifully made and looks so nice in the house, too.

I really like this cat cave but my cat really dislikes spending any time in it. After 2 months of coaxing with food, toys and 2 different types of feliway spray she still won't voluntarily go in it but will happily go into a cardboard cat house that is the same size. In fact if I hide food in there she would rather drag it out to eat. She loves the wool tennis ball that was included with this so I'm sure it's not the wool. I'm hoping that with winter coming on she might use it but it's currently used to store her toys....4 month update - cat has finally gone in and happily using it. But only because I moved her self heating fleece blanket in there. Having looked at other cat caves on the market this one is the one to buy. The design, quality, size and opening is superior to the others.1 year plus update - loves this bed. Have put a woolly sheepskin (approx 45cm round) at the bottom which helps!

He is undoubtedly content with his new home and I would highly recommend one of these for the cat(s) in your life
The cat that lives in our home was initially reluctant to enter the cave. However with a few puffs of catnip spray to the interior, he hurried in as if he were collecting a methadone prescription at the chemist. After recieving his fix of catnip he proceeding to slumber within, seemingly having concluded the cave was of no threat. For additional comfort I furnished the interior of the cave with 20" circular sheep skin rug and a silicone heated pad placed underneath the rug. He is undoubtedly content with his new home and I would highly recommend one of these for the cat(s) in your life. For size comparison, the cat is an adult Siamese, and there is clearly enough room for another cat of equal size.

The cat likes it, so I like it!
The slate grey cat cave (really more denim blue/grey but that was fine for me) looks kind of like a giant pebble. With a cat in it.The overall size was the first thing that surprised me - my cat is quite large (Scottish fold/ Ragdoll mix) but he has plenty of room inside to get into comfortable lounging and sleeping positions. The wool felt is thick and solidly built with no seams to come apart at, it feels very robust and though I've not had it long I expect it to last - my kitty is a chewer though so I'll report back if he manages to gnaw any holes in it!The main thing though, and most important to me - is that it's fully enclosed apart fron the entrance hole, and so will keep the cat warm as the nights start to cool, and certainly blocks any draughts so he should be able to sleep in comfort. It being enclosed on all sides also means your cat will feel secure, so all in all, a great design.Mr. Cat certainly seems happy with it anyway, he does like to vary where he sleeps though, so I'll give it a few months and if he's still using it, I'll look into buying more of these clever kitty caves!

My cat jury is out on whether they like this or not - I have three cats and none have shown much interest in it so far but I've only had it a few hours so hopefully they will soon be fighting over it. I personally love it - it's really nice quality and I was really impressed to read (on the label that came with it) how it is a fair trade and handmade item which almost justifies the expensive price ;-) It looks fantastic, especially when compared to the hideous cat beds on offer elsewhere so if aesthetics are your thing go for it!

Snug and cosy bed.
This is a beautifully made warm bed for a cat (or even a small dog). Draught-free, with thick and soft material, it is clearly cat heaven and my cat never gets out of it when he is in the house. Previously a cat that had its own cushion on the sofa next to me (and which he would not deign to sit on unless it was the right one - "not the velvet one, you dolt! You know it is the one with the pattern. Do you want the claws in your thigh again?), he has now chosen to desert me in favour of this bed. Shame about that but at least I now have peace and safety in my own front room and am no longer bullied by a furry tyrant. Happy cat = happy me. Definitely worth 5 stars.
