Review: Exactly what I wanted! - I am truly surprised at the quality of the watch and the Zepp app itself. I needed something durable that could help me during runs and workouts, but also had basic smart watch capabilities. This fit the bill perfectly and even matches the info close enough with my Oura ring. It's not the Cadillac of smart watches, but I didn't want that. After plenty of research, and knowing what exactly I wanted, the Active Edge is perfect in every way... and even cheap enough that I can snag a nicer-looking Amazfit for those dress up days (you can switch watches in the app!) The only qualm I have is that I woke up this morning with a broken watch band! desertcart doesn't look like they will be able to help me directly, but I will be reaching out to Amazfit and will update review once I see how that goes. It does look like this is a weak spot of this model, so thankfully I already ordered a softer replacement band, but have faith Amazfit will make it right with the OEM part as well. Usually it's still at 50% when I think maybe I need to charge it. It has so many options and things that you can do with it! I don't even think I have explored all of them yet. I really just wanted a watch that would give me notifications for my texts and emails and calendar events and this works amazing for that plus has so much more! Absolutely worth the money compared to the two pixel watches I had that you had to charge every day and they didn't have nearly as many options either! I haven't really used much of the workout related options, but it is awesome to be able to look at whether and sunrise sunset and heart rate etc! I didn't have to look up online how to change some settings or tailor it to the way I prefer. But once you know how to do it it's not hard! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazfit Active Edge, just what I wanted *by T***Y on October 11, 2024* The Amazfit Active Edge is a rugged and light weighted smartwatch, considerably lighter than other military-styled smartwatches. The watch weighs about 2 oz. I've tried wearing other military-styled smartwatches and found them to be uncomfortably heavy on my wrist. Not so with the Active Edge as I often forget that I'm evern wearing the watch! I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED that when the watch was fully charge up and I started its initial updating of software the watch updated to the Zepp 3.5 operating system! And the watch came with 5.2 bluetooth! The Zepp 3.5 is more efficient and provides a more stable platform. The watch performs all the sleep, health and tracking functions as advertised. There's talk about the wrist band. As far as I can tell, the band is made from stiff silicone. The band's design feels like it's a clamp on my wrist, not uncomfortable but stiff. I believe it's designed to mitigate sweat. I have noticed that some owners have reported breakage issues with the band. I found that if that does happen with my Active Edge there are many inexpensive band replacement options available. As for battery life, the Amazfit folks really get it right. I'm getting eight to nine days but I should note that I charge when the battery drops below 30%. Other leading smartwatches need charging every day. In ending, the Active Edge is exactly what I wanted in a military-styled smartwatch; stylishly handsome, light-weighted, rugged and efficient.
