These sticks are NOT soaked in oil. They are kiln-dried from the supplier.

Bursera graveolens is a tree that's native to Peru.

Q: How does it stay lit? I bought 2 pkgs and just lit one stick and it keeps going out. My first time purchasing

The sticks are not supposed to stay lit. After you light the end, allow it to burn for about 15-20 seconds. You will see only black smoke. Extinguish the lit stick and the white smoke is what gives off the palo santo aroma. You can use the same stick several times.

This IS Palo Santo! It is high quality and burns like it should letting off white aromatic smoke. I hold the sticks and do not get any residue on my fingers because it is the real thing and not oil soaked sticks. I am very pleased with my purchase and this seller!
