**Q: Wi have a 40 inch waist. should i order s/m or l/xl?**
A: My husband's  waist is 44 and these are just right for him. I would try the l/xl then downsize if needed. They expand as needed but aren't  baggy.

**Q: When are they going to make a size big enough for a 48-50 inch waist (i.e. a big butt!)? these "xl" are not "xl" enough.**
A: As a wife with a man with a large tummy, I agree!  They should have four sizes~~Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large.  I would send the manufacturer a complaint if I were you.
