Review: Loved the camera until it stopped connecting. - Purchased July 24, 2024. They were responsive on Sat and continue to be in contact with me. I replaced the SD card but still won't connect. I am having the same issue as the review posted in July. This is a copy of the review but same issue."One is that the wifi/bluetooth functionality to download to their app on a smartphone seems to be sluggish and can get stuck/hung when there's a large number of items to transfer (say over 5 or 6 video/photos). I was very close to the camera so I don't think distance was the issue.. sometimes it works but slow, other times it gets stuck and just sits there. The other things I'm noticing is that the videos it makes seem to hang pauses in them where the subject in motion freezes for several frames and then is moving again." I am updating my review. I have heard back from them several times and they are sending me a new camera. I love my camera. It was easy to set up. The photos are great. The camera even took a video of a rat going by! I am waiting to get my new SD card and see if that was the issue. Will update if it was so. Jan was great at customer service.
Review: Great trail camera, worth the money - This is a great trail camera. I got this to see some of the wildlife that hangs around my bird feeder. We get lots of deer, foxes, raccoons, and even the occasional skunk. I was able to attach it to a tree about 15 feet from the feeder and it works great. Catches a lot of stuff at night too. The picture quality at night is what you would expect from a night vision video, a little bit blurry but it does the job. The day videos are great quality. The only thing is the motion sense is very sensitive so if there's a branch nearby and it happens to be a windy day, your going to have sooo many videos to look at. The way this works is that you have to buy an SD card for it. I bought a 256 GB SD card, and put it in the camera along with a few batteries, it was either AA or AAA, sorry I don't remember. You download the app on your phone, they give pretty straightforward instructions. Then you have to be a certain distance from the camera to be able to see the images and videos on your phone. It can be kind of annoying sometimes, but it's ok. We had the camera up for a few weeks before we had to change the batteries. The app on your phone will tell you what percentage the battery is at as well as how much storage is used up on the SD card. I had never gotten or dealt with a trail camera at all before, but this was pretty simple to use and works well.

A: No. It can NOT connect with a home WiFi or cellular network. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and the camera’s built-in WiFi within signal range, it is very helpful for you to check images on site. No monthly fee, no cellular signal required.

**Q: What is the purpose of the WiFi feature?**
A: The WiFi feature allows you to view, preview, download, and manage photos and videos on your phone without removing the camera from its mounted location (such as a tree). You can access directly in the app within WiFi range up to 45ft.

**Q: What is the WiFi connection range?**
A: In open areas, the WiFi connection range can reach up to 45 ft (13 m). Actual range may vary depending on obstacles such as walls, metal structures, glass, or dense vegetation.

**Q: Does the E6 trail cam include an SD card? What SD card is recommended?**
A: No SD card is included. The camera supports full-size SD cards up to 512GB. For best performance, we recommend using 32GB or 64GB full-size SD cards from GardePro or SanDisk or other big brand. Micro SD cards with adapters are not recommended.

Very cool product. I wish I read the description better as I glossed over needing 8 batteries and a sim card. Once I bought those the set up was fast and intuitive. The camera worked the first time. The video and photos are clear. I particularly like the night vision. The camera case is also very rugged, ideally suited for the outdoors. Recommended.
