Absolutely loved it!
It started off with a bang and ended on a fantastic cliffhanger. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I can't say enough how much I love Rogue and the boys. The drama, the history, the angst and buildup between them all is so good! It's been a while since I've read a book in this vein that's had me siding with each of the characters so fully even knowing the other POVs. Jumping into the next book now so I can't find out what happens!

Slow start, great characters and world building
The story was great but it started off slow. I even considered dnf it but I knew the sisters wouldn’t fail me. I found plenty of small things to hold onto and the ending definitely hooked and drown me in the cruel world at sunset cove. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and the character and world building was top notch.

What a fun ride
I'm not normally a fan of reverse harems/why choose stories but this one was refreshing . It didn't have the every guy was instantly in love fighting for the girl ect ect. We get some much needed enemies to lovers feel here which is nice.Firstly Rogue returns home and sets on getting revenge on the boys that broke her heart and their promise . Leaving her abandoned when she needed them the most. So let's get to the boysJj ... he is easy to like . Friendly and soft and patient with Rogue . As much as I like Jj he is the typical male in RH books. So there's that .Fox... the over protective insanely jealous and over the top control freak. I wanted to shout at him so many times as he was even starting to get under my skin. (Win for me in a story ).Chase.. oh Chase you are so damaged that you are just down right mean to our girl Rogue . So I appreciate him not just instant swooning over her and could feel his anger , his hurt , and yet fear for his brothers of her return .Maverick.. definitely a tough guy and intriguing however he didn't appear a whole lost in this book so I'm not sure what to think of him. Rogue is setting on revenge on her boys that use to vow to love and protect her 10 years ago before they betrayed her. She is broken buy determined to never get hurt again . Deep down of course she loves them and misses them but 10 years people change and you know that betrayal so there's that .Maverick we know has his own anger toward the boys his friends from what happened 10 years ago too so he is as broken as Rogue only more scary and more out for blood . He wants his revenge on them and destroy them specially his brother Fox and he will use whatever he can to destroy him and which makes Rogue the target .I very much enjoyed this book and can't wait to dive i to the next one !

LOVE LOVE LOVE
The imagery in this book was incredible… There's not a ton of books where I can say I really felt like I was there, but these authors took their time with the worldbuilding. Characters were SO detailed, and Rogue is a SASSY thing!!

Hard to Describe
3/5 ⭐️Spice: 2.5/5 🌶️This book felt like a bit of a generic dark romance with an RH twist although instead of the romances feeling like RHs, it was a push pull and forcing a choice. The characters themselves were very typical RH with one funny, one angry and ignoring the FMC, one very high strung, and one kinda lost overall. So it didn’t feel inventive or new. But this was a fun read.My main complaints were that the characters themselves lacked depth (but hey it’s an RH so I get it) and that there was a ton of alluding to these amazing backstories, deceit and previous heartbreak but when we did hear the backstory it was so shallow that it didn’t lead me to believe the feelings the MMCs had for the FMC.Overall, fun and a bit mindless read.✔️ Touch her and 💀✔️ Would💀 for him/her✔️ He falls first✔️ RH✔️ First person, multiple POV

OMG!!!
This book was brutal. My nerves were ratchet and raw. I clenched my jaw So tight. Every emotion was plucked thru my heart strings. Damn you girls are so damn good. I have read other stories by you ladies but this one is so intense, so frustratingly satisfying. There is so much pain and anger, I want it to stop but it was so real. Rogue was sixteen when she was thrown out into a world that she was barely able to survive. I was angry from the moment she crawled out of her shallow grave. All the way thru when maverick caught her at the police station. I'm telling you brutally well written and masterfully created to keep you hooked. I can't wait to start the next book. If you don't read anything else this year ... I tell you people you have to read this one. I tell you it is one of the most gripping stories that you will remember For all time and want to read again. Peckham and Valenti are true storytellers. Absolutely a work of art. Way beyond 5 stars.

We shall see
Jeez this sure was a long one. The novella YOU MUST READ BEFORE THIS ONE. Makes this book make a lot more sense. It was ok, but I feel like not a lot happened but gave A TON of background information about everyone and their past and what happened 10 years ago and something's in-between. I feel like it's setting up nicely for the next couple books. Hopefully they others don't flop. 🤞🏼

Just Captivating
I absolutely love Rogue and the Harlequins. Now, I do think it's all little bit magical realism with the amount of violence and gangfare that didn't seem to attract police attention, but that's a very small, very small nitpick to the overall story, that I found entertaining and thrilling til the last page, can't wait to read the whole series!

It started way too good to be true
I was loving this book, so much, but then it got to a point where Rogue became seriously annoying and Fox… I can’t, I just can’t with his obsession and possessiveness. Also, if u like slow-burn this is the perfect book, way too slow for me and like WHERE IS THE SPICE? WHERE IS THE WHY CHOOSE ROMANCE? They just hate each other way too much and they just talk about her choosing, like… what?I don’t think this is the way to build a why choose romance and it make me hate them all. I expected a little more maturity or something, they talk a lot about having grown up and they didn't

Damn! That was awesome.
I love the 5 main characters. Enemies-to-lovers trope is very well written. All the angst, the sexiness and the darkness makes this book too interesting to keep continuing the series. I loved reading this book.

My new favorite series
I cannot emphasize how good this is! If you like dark romance, a kick ass female and some hot guys...this is everything. Rogue is simply amazing. JJ is fun and sweet. Fox is so annoying but maybe redeemable. Chase is a pathetic bitch boy. Maverick...psycho and can't wait to learn more about him.

Holy Guacamoli 🔥
I‘m hooked!I‘m so sooo hooked. The story about Rouge, the Halerquin Boys and Maverick, I am dying to know how this will end.I love it that Rouge is a badass woman and that she's not the one to give in, it's Fox and JJ trying to show her how important she is to them.Chase, oh Chase.I love the little moments between the two of them when he opens up to Rouge.I know he will come around.Least of all I expected Maverick's behavior. Although it currently makes perfect sense.I'm so excited to see how the relationship between the two will develop. As the saying goes, it usually only gets worse before it gets better. And I believe that Rouge is going to have a hard time with Rick but she's the only one who'll get to him and has a chance to let his walls down.Even though I love Rouges personality and I absolutely understand why she is the way she is, I have to say that I found her behavior a little childish and inappropriate in some places and therefore sometimes found it a little annoying while reading.Nevertheless, absolute reading recommendation and can hardly wait for the next part.

Oh my god I think I literally screamed out loud at this book!
Sinners Playground is set ten years after the prequel Devil's Pass and Rogue is back in Sunset Cove. I loved Rogue so much in this as even though she loved these guys and definitely lusts after them she still keeps fighting and standing up for herself. She's so sassy and found myself laughing at her antics. Think its important too that she wants to stand on her own two feet even if that's not what the men of the Harlequin Crew want. All the boys have changed and grown and the differences in them were amazing to see. In my own way I want them all but think only one really liked with any consistency is JJ. I knew the ending was going to be cliffhanger but this has sent me through the ringer. It has put me in a book slump as well as taking me time to write this review as all I want is book 2. Can't wait for the next one to come out and have been recommending to all that will listen. Its a long one but so worth the rollercoaster ride it takes you on.
