I'm looking for something to wear on long plane flights that blocks the white noise of the airplane engines. Would these work well?

Well, they definitely aren't noise cancelling, but in my experience they cancel out enough to make a difference, and would do great on a plane.

Question 2

1. How is the sound quality compare with sol republic relay and sennheiser cx685 (bass, midrange)? 
2. Is this good for running and sweat-proof?

Ken, I haven't tried Sol relay yet so can't help you there. It seems to be a good pair of headphones with its spec sheet. I've tried cx685 and never liked it. The fit was secure but can't say if it was really comfortable. I felt the bass was better with cx685, mid ranges were average, not in the sennheiser league. Its a close call btwn CX and epic. But epic really fits in your ear. For running, epic is just what you'll need. It never slips, its stuck rite there. The site never anything abt sweat durability but I feel it does quite a good job. If you ever decide with Sol republic let me know how it works.. Cheers!

When running on windy days, how is the wind noise on these? How sound isolating are they? thanks!

They come with all different sizes of buds so once you find a good fit it they're pretty snug and block out most outside noise.  I've used them for running since January 2014, both on a treadmill and outside. They're super comfortable and don't fall out at all...definitely recommend them for running.  If they can block out a treadmill they can block out some wind.

Do these work well with Android phones?  Especially the controls.
