Q: Is this product pliable and moldable?

Yes, it is essentially the tape without the external layer. It is EXTREMELY sticky. Once it's stuck, it's stuck.

Q: will this stick well to tpo ( gaf everguard ) for a lap seam for my deck membrane?

This will stick extremely well to TPO, PVC, wood, metal, plastic, I repaired my RV’s front cap and Roof last year after doing a ton of research and have not had any problems. EternaBond Website has a lot of info regarding their products including bonding strength.

Q: can this product be used to tape a polyethylene plate back onto a closing lid?

Two-sided Eterna-Bond tape would work best if you don’t want to overlay the tape.

Q: What color is this tape?

It's grey, not white, and it's sticky on both sides. It's generally not something you want to leave exposed, it would be use to bed windows, bond EPDM or seal underneath the eternabond tape which has the one side coated.
