I looked in every grocery near my house. No one had this vanilla butter nut flavoring. It’s the secret ingredient in many of my mother’s recipes. Taste just like I remembered.

ordered olive nation vanilla, butter, and nut flavoring off of amazon I always for 40 years used McCormick vanilla, butter and nut but I could not find that anymore so tried this. It was awful smelled and tasted terrible ruined my cake that is very time consuming to make. I will never purchase that again and if you know where I can order McCormick's vanilla, butter and nut flavoring, please let me know to much trouble to return will just throw it out Vivian Allen

Getting very hard to find this flavoring in grocery stores and the old recipe i have for zucchini muffins (sounds terrible, but with strawberry butter - delicious!) calls for it - and when zucchini comes into season, my stomach calls for the muffins, so I am happy to know that I can get it on Amazon rather than drive from store to store hunting for it. I haven't tried it in other recipes, but if you love zucchini muffins........

Making waffles for family gatherings is a tradition. The recipe calls for Vanilla Butternut. This is the closest we could find after looking in stores and online. It works OK mixed with Madagascar vanilla. My son made chicken and waffles on his food truck using this product as well.

I was looking for a yummy butterscotch flavor like McCormick’s vanilla butter and nut flavor, but without the food dye. This was not it. It’s more of a hazelnut flavor. Way too strong when used to sub for vanilla in a recipe. Use half as much or it is overpowering in the wrong way. At least there are no artificial colors.

Everyone likes my cakes with this flavor added! Wish the bottle was bigger for the price.

Got this to bake a cake from a recipe on Paula Deen's website, and I'll be honest: I thought about going to Savannah and having a chat with Mrs. Deen after baking this thing! But after speaking to people who've had butternut flavoring before, it QUICKLY became clear that THIS flavoring was the awful, malodorous problem and not Paula's recipe. The stench of it was just that, the color was wrong, and I had to throw out an ENTIRE CAKE, minus maybe four bites! Nowadays, that's a pretty pricey mistake, don't you think? Fortunately, Amazon refunded my purchase, but be forewarned: the product description now says that "this purchase is NON-refundable," so caveat emptor, y'all!
