I love the Kukicha or bocha tea which is in fact a mix of a few Japanese Green tea leaves with a higher amount of stems. this one is a Kabuse tea which means it is cultivated in the shade. I bought some Kukicha for the first time a few years ago at the Palais des Thés in Bordeaux. it was a Kukicha from the Shizuoka district and I fell in love with it. It is slightly different from this one as, among other things, its amount in theine seems a little bit lower, but the difference is subtle.This twig tea is organic and its aromatic taste is both subtle and persistent in the mouth. Kukicha was considered for a long time to be the the poor people tea and like many old time peasant recipes made with basic ingredients this tea became more and more appreciated by the higher classes of the society inside and outside japan and consequently it is nowadays very trendy. I like this tea because I like loose tea and green tea is a great anti-oxydant. I also can drink it at any moment of the day. Let 6gr of loose green tea infuse 2 or 3 minutes in 30 cl at a temperature of 176F and enjoy! This tea is not astringent contrarily to the one I usually drink and it is not as cloudy either. I think it is on the sweet side so it can be even drank cold with desserts. Personally I like to drink it warm while I eat my meal. I did not know this brand before and I am very happy with my purchase as this tea is of great quality. You can prepare this delicate tea in a warmed traditional Japanese tea pot made of porcelain or, even better, earth.All in all a very aromatic tea like an ambered liquor at a very decent price.

Updated 1/9/222: I ordered 3 bags, I received 2 bags of the green tea and a bag of “super fruit mango” tea. Since I can not return the tea I am stuck with it. Please be more careful in the future or I will find another tea.I love this tea, I order it repeatedly. Always consistent. It is very smooth with just the right amount of flavor, not too strong and not too light. Great way to start the morning.

This is terrific green tea. Rich and full bodied with the grassy Japanese green tea taste. And, frankly, I don't like green tea that much. Very good option here.

This is kukicha tea, meaning it is a blend made of stems, stalks, and twigs. You may be surprised when you open the bag if you're not familiar with this type of tea. It does have a unique flavor and aroma, due to using parts of the tea plant that are excluded from most other teas.This is my go-to for green tea. The flavor is perfect for my tastes.

Did not have the depth of earthy roasted flavor that I was expecting. Very mild and too bland for my taste. Others may find it perfect. The tea itself seems to be a good quality.

This tea is great! Very fresh and fragrant with a smooth taste. I was looking for a "Kabuse Sencha" green tea (as recommended by Tim Ferris). After searching around for a while I purchased this to make a blend of tea (this mixed with puerh, tumeric and ginger) for energy and focus. I will buy again!

I love this tea - yummy grassy flavor, way better than your typical green tea. It's the only brand I've tried so I can't say how it compares to other brands of this type but I really like it.
