What country of origin is it ?

I am an English major so it is understood up front that I cannot spell. Answer: Modern day Shri Lanka used to be called Ceylon. It's an Island Nation off India. The best cinnamon is from Ceylon. It is lighter and tastes better. Besides tasting good cinnamon has health benefits the best of which is stabilizing a persons blood sugar levels.

How many sticks come in a pound?

You would be surprised how many sticks are in the bag....well worth the cost! Have ordered twice and will be ordering more soon! I have not counted sticks.

Why do pictures 4 & 5 in the description show thick walled Casia cinnamon sticks?

The pictures are accurate - each stick is about 3" to 4" long. I did not rate these well for my use of them - for stove top cooking (mostly hot cereals), and these sticks shred terribly during cooking and put small pieces in the cereal.
