Jebao PU-36 Pond and Aquarium Clarifier, 36-watt

love this. Second one ive had. first one i had for 5 years and it did great. built another pond at my new home and bought anotherone. Water is cristal clear after 3 days of use was green. UV light is the only way to get rid of green water and keep it that way.

I ordered this product and about one month into its use it quit working. Upon taking the ballast off to change the light bulb I noticed that it was leaking water into where the bulb was which shorted everything out, blew the bulb and rusted all the component. I contacted the company for help and they replied immediately. They suggested the quartz tube could have been damaged during shipping and gave me instructions on how to completely disassemble the product to check. They were spot on, unfortunately shipping faults are not covered under warranty but they still were willing to work with me and gave me a great deal on all the replacement parts so I was not out a unit or stuck buying a new one. After reassembling the unit it has worked flawlessly. The results are as expected, CLEAR and CLEAN water overnight!!! I would 100% recommend this product to anyone looking for a UV sterilizer however I would suggest upon receipt of your unit you completely disassemble it to inspect all components after you get it. This way, if you do have damaged parts from shipping you can claim it in lieu of finding out the hard way. Thank you CNZ lighting for your help!

I paired this Jebao PU-36 with a Total Pond Fountain pump rated for 5 feet and 338 gallons per hour. The water flow seems to be the right flow rate. The Jebao PU-36 UV Clarifier just started leaking after 10 days. I checked that the connections and made sure O ring was seated properly. I also tried pvc plumbers tape on the threads and it made no difference. The leak is annoying but not the end of the world. Jebao should include more O rings because I suspect the O ring is the problem. Water clarity has only slightly improved. Would I say it was worth spending $70 on this UV clarifier? No. After 10 days it hasn’t gotten any better than after the first few hours. Don’t expect major changes with this product. I tried reaching out to customer service on Amazon’s link to product support from Jebao. The website it takes you to is a dead link and the website no longer exists or never did. You’re better off going in a different direction. I was hoping for something that wasn’t high maintenance and a relatively good value however this UV clarifier is the opposite.

After two years of a severe algae green pea soup Koi pond and couldnt even see my fish, I finally hot this, and my pond was completely clear within days. Wish I found this sooner. This one has the longer bulbs for quickest results.

I have seen a number of reviews on this item that complain about leaking. I suspect that when they were installed, the o-ring on the fittings was placed improperly or not at all. The instructions are the typical Chines-English translation that does not quite cover all the details. The instructions does not even mention the o-rings. It is not a complex item, so it is easy to figure out, but the paperwork could be better by including some manufacturer info or maybe even the UV lamp replacement model number. Other reviews complained about it not clearing the algae. It can take a while to kill all the algae in a moderate sized pond. My pond is 800 gallon and I can see the bottom that is 3.5 feet under the surface, so I would have to say, it's working fine. Would have been 5 stars, but the insufficient user manual and instructions is a negative. I suspect they would have fewer returns if they provided better documents.

This product serves me well. Use it to help control algae in my pond.

last year i cleaned a ton of veg out of the pond and it got infected with a pea green algae bloom right after. the first two pics are from two weeks ago when i installed the clarifier. didn't see much improvement in the first week. i took the second two pics this morning. it was a huge improvement; we can see the bottom now. very pleased with this product/purchase. my pond is about 2000 gallons and the pump circulates about 400 gph through the clarifier and 30 gallon biological filter. the inlet/outlet fittings needed a bit of tweaking to seal properly, but no big deal. recommend using the largest hose possible to reduce pipe friction loss.

Form first use it got burned and more over i purchased 2 new bulb and burn both of them this is the worse product i purchased from my full life from Amazon

This uv light is awesome kills all the algae in my fish pond always nice and clear

I was having trouble keeping my pond clean. within a week I could already see my koi at the bottom of the pond. I would definitely recommend this product.

Not good. I’ve had smaller lights that did a better job. Replaced with new light bulbs and no improvement. No easy was to contact seller. Plan to buy a different option

I would not buy from this vendor. Item no longer works after 3 months of use. I have replaced the uv bulb but still does not work. Uv connection has rust where there should not be. I have emailed the vendor multiple times over a period of time and I get no response back. They seem to offer no product support with a possible warranty issue. Stay away.
