Good show, runs a little bigger than expected and the sole wears quickly
Actually not a bad hiking boot, I use it for doing lawn work around the house. Just know they run a little big (or I ordered a half size larger than I should have), they do not provide the level of traction I had expected, and the sole wears a little faster than expected. So most of that is fine, just the sole wear may be an issue. That said, I know I've worn it to the hardware store and other places where I spent the day on pavement, which likely didn't help the wear issue - but geesh, for the amount of time I am wearing them I am hopeful for less wear! They will probably last 24 to 30 months at my present rate.

I've already tromped through rivers gotten covered in mud then worked in the rain today and they seem great to me
I have only had these for a few days so it's hard to give a review, but I am extremely hard on everything. I've already tromped through rivers gotten covered in mud then worked in the rain today and they seem great to me? I love the fact they are very light which means they will fall apart but I feel like I've already gotten my moneys worth.

Comfortable and durable
Already owned a pair of these that I have worn for 2-3 years. I am pleased with the comfort level and how well they have held up. Why only four stars? Well, I had to add gel insoles and recently added home made silicone insoles (combined with the gel). This makes them very comfortable. For the money, a very good value.

Great looking boots, not the best quality though
Great looking boots and so far the quality is holding up through the snow and ice each day. The only problem, is the tabs for the laces the laces are weak. I already broke one off, but the boots are still wearable. It is a shame the tabs are so poorly constructed, because the sew around the boot and the soul seems to be very well constructed. Another problem is the inside material near my heals have already worn away and there are holes developing and I feel it rubbing on my heels from time to time. If you wore these boots for long periods hiking all day, you might have issues with the inside heel.

Good shoe and great value for your money
Good shoe and great value for your money. I was expecting some cheap junk for this price, but it exceeded my expectations. Comfortable and good looking enough to wear with a pair of jeans to a restaurant. Very versatile. I used these to fish in the snow in Mammoth. they not only provided great walking support hiking up the mountains, but kept my feet dry while walking through the snow for an hour. My feet were not sore at all the next day! They didn't state they are water proof, but water sure did not sip through walking in the snow! Thoroughly impressed! What a deal!

Had them less than a week when...
...I came across what I think is a pretty big flaw. They look good, and the price is right, but I hadn't even broken them in when I felt the insole pretty much disappear. I can feel whatever is underneath the insole (feels like ridges). Makes the boot somewhat uncomfortable. I plan on getting insoles, but I don't have much hope that that will help, since I wear a 13, and it's hard as hell to find insoles that are above a 12. There are better boots out there for a comparable price. I would look around for something else.

they held up just fine, but if you're looking for long-term heavy use
My son used them for his trip to Boundary Waters/Northern Tier for Scouts. They were a cheaper alternative to the $90 Merrills some boys had. For the money, they held up just fine, but if you're looking for long-term heavy use, these probably aren't it, because I noticed that the padding under the foot-insert has already deteriated.

For a super casual day hike
These are sneakers, not hiking boots. The price reflects that. If you live anywhere with rocks get ready to feel every one of them. For a super casual day hike, great.Anything above that do yourself and your feet some kindness and get real hiking boots.
