Don't listen to people complaining about "historical accuracy." It gets really old, considering this show is based on a work of Historical FICTION. The work is based on Chu Renhuo's novel "Sui Tang Yanyi", which ROMANTICIZES (aka changing events into an idealized or unrealistic version to be more appealing) the historical events leading to the fall of the Sui dynasty and the rise of the Tang dynasty.It is a highly entertaining show, and a lot of fun to watch with really great characters. When losers who watch something like this with their pen and paper out jotting down everything they believe isn't historically accurate from their research on Wikipedia, it turns making historical fiction TV shows into too much of a hassle, and we start seeing less being made.If they want to complain about "historically inaccurate" TV shows, why don't they go check out American-made shows from the last 5 years?

Was disappointed that this historical drama has been too fictionalized. Too many scenes of characters that are dim witted, where it was not humorous, but rather annoying.

Great drama with surprisingly good subtitles. I love Chinese history plus romance and drama this has it all. The story is amazing I have seen a lot of Chinese historicals and this ranks on top. If history is not your thing it's just a great drama to watch. All of the characters personalities really were so well explained and how they impacted China to me was again a history lesson in drama form. Thanks seller and Amazon.
