Really a great cam.

I got this camera and set it up. Extremely easy setup and worked out of the box. I was able to test it in seconds. No specific requirements. I mounted it on top of a stand I have, and it is at perfect eye level. I like the fact that it is narrow enough that it does not block either monitor. Sits between my two monitors perfectly.

I purchased this device to test its usefulness on our university. We have faculty teaching in rooms that are equipped with standard webcams. No matter where we place these cameras, sooner or later the instructor, while teaching, will move out of the frame, so all that the remote students see is part of a wall or board or screen. We are doing some initial testing of devices like the Obsbot. We have been looking at tracking cameras for over three years, but most are at least double the cost of the PTZ cameras we use in our video conferencing rooms. The initial tests with this device are very promising, giving us most of what we are looking for at a price that we can afford.Pros:-Seems to be very good at tracking-CostCons"-While in use with other software, the tracking speed seems slow, so camera would have a hard time following some more active instructors (when not in use with video apps, it appeared to track targets much faster)-Camera only has 2X digital zoomOverall: good, low cost way to move into a higher level of video calls

Mainly for Zoom once you get used to the hand commands you are good to go.
