Whirlpool W10243947 Timer

I am a 67 year young woman who got on itube to fix my washing machine timer. I found the timer through Amazon which was over $60 cheaper than anywhere else on the web or around town. I could not afford to hire an appliance repair service and for half a day's work, $106 dollars in the part my machine is working great. In the video's it appears a person can fix this in about two hours or less. Because I do not have the strength of a guy it did take me a bit longer. I have never done anything like this before so I took extra caution. I am going to tackle replacing the water hose in my refrigerator next. My appliances are almost 7 years old but I figure I can continue fixing them to keep them going longer. I am so proud of what I did and now feel I can just about accomplish anything and thank you for those who make the video's of repairs.

This replacement timer is of the same quality as the original. The timer fixed the problem and Whirlpool the manufacturer really made the timers cheap and poor quality. This timer is used in a heavy duty washer and on the extra large load cycle the motor strains and burns the contacts. I have rental properties with 30 of this model washing machine. These cost nearly 100.00 each and only lasting sometimes 6 months this is a problem. Either the timers which are the failed parts are all junk or the motors on 30 washing machines draw too much current.

Works well. Plastic clips very fragile.

Bought this for my mother-in-law. I searched all over the INTERNET for this product and finally found it on Amazon. I guess it works really well because she didn't slap my head at our Easter dinner last week. I think she likes me now. Good Product!! ... Buy it.

Purchased the timer and received it on time as promised. Installed it without problem and it worked great for 29 day. On day 30 the timer began malfunctioning just like the previous two timers on the washer. Just for clarification, the first replacement timer was installed on the washer by a certified service technician while under warranty. Lasted just over one year and failed. This one was purchased and lasted just under thirty days. My dissatisfaction is with the timer and not the distributer. The service representative has been very helpful and I would highly recommend dealing with this company again but stay away from whirlpool.

So far so good everything is working the way it is supposed to.

It does not say anything about being a refurbished part in the details, but it is , and it had the same problem that my old timer had. Returned and took my old timer apart, filled down a couple of burnt contacts, and my washer is working good again.
