Liquid filled gauge is the only way to go.

Here in Florida the gauge on the pool filter would get hammered by the sun and need to be replaced pretty often. These liquid filled gauges are the only way to go here. They hold up and the dial face always looks like new. Seems to be accurate and very responsive. This one went on our Hayward 9000 Star cartridge filter perfectly.

Gauge lost it's oil, leaked out of gauge and numbers are hard to see.

I bought an oil filled gauge fot my pool pump. Hoping it would last longer than normal gauges. But no, oil leaked out and pressure is hard to see.
