Works perfectly, for the price you cannot beat this! I use it on my Nikon D7100 to take star trail photos at night and it works great. Beware that the D7100 stops working after 100 shots and you have to reset it. This is not the release cables fault I think it is just how the D7100 reacts. I have another version of this cable I use with my D850 and that one keeps going until the batteries die. Great for single shots as well but I bought mine to do continuous shooting and it does both great and for a really great price.

This is a great addition to your camera gear. I even use it without a tripod with telephoto lenses to help with shutter shake. I would suggest that you use auto focus with the camera or manual mode to get a better focus. The remote is not perfect at adjusting.I would also get the wireless remote too. You will have all you need for camera control . Shoot without shaking.

I have a tendency to lose these type remotes, so I recently purchased two, so that I have a spare, if and when I lose another. These are simple remote shutter release devices, which I prefer for common photography, when my camera is on a tripod. For more complex situations, a programable remote is better.

The shutter release cable worked great the first time. The second time I took it out of my camera bag, it no longer worked.

Glad I didn’t get a fancy one with timers and batteries. Those sound great in theory but in the field when you are already managing a lot of variables its nice to have something as simple as one button. This device is sturdy, super lightweight, just the right cable length.

I'm using this with a Nikon D610. Theoretically, in any shooting mode, I can set the release mode to remote, half-press the button the Pixel remote to focus, and press it all the way down to take the shot.But it doesn't work like that. The Pixel remote really only has binary functionality, meaning it's either depressed, or not. So with the release mode on the camera set to remote, I can use the Pixel remote to focus, but it won't actually take the photo. I've tried this with immediate release and 2 second release. It just doesn't work.BUT, it works great in Mup, or Mirror Up mode. I bought this for astro-photography, and will actually use it more in Mup mode. So whatever. It's not ideal, but it's also affordable.

Update: Customer service was outstanding regarding the release that broke. I felt they really went out of their way to resolve my issue and am happy to update my review to reflect their efforts. I'm happy to have a replacement and I will definitely be more careful with the new one!Worked with D3300 but while plugged into the camera, the cord caught in tripod leg while raising center post and with little to no resistance the cord pulled completely out of the plug on the camera end. I should have been more careful but was amazed how easily it came apart. But it is inexpensive and you get what you pay for. Treat it carefully and it will probably work well.

Bueno... podría usar un control remoto, pero odio depender de las pilas. Usar un disparador con cable es más incómodo, pero me evita las sorpresas, especialmente cuando voy de pajareo. Hace su trabajo bien, así que no puedo pedir más.
