Purana Purusha: Yogiraj Sri Shama Churn Lahiree: A Complete Biography

I ordered the paperback but got the hardback.This book is hugely important, at least until the day Yogiraj’s journals are released to the public - which may be never.Satya Charanji would have daily readings of this book among his disciples - that is the level of importance it carries in Kriya Yoga lineages. Unfortunately, for those who are not on the kriya path or who practice Yoganandas teachings, little will be understood. This is not an elitist position, it is just the book contents are very niche to kriya practitioners in the traditional param para teaching and manny points need experiential knowledge or personal guidance of a guru to understand.That said, it is fantastic and the sections on Yogiraj’s life are beneficial to all. This is my second copy as I wanted a travel copy and copy to keep from getting destroyed.

A must read book for those practising kriya yoga

Whilst this book is difficult to read (the english is not the easiest and there is a huge amount of repitition), the knowledge being shared is priceless. For those who are in the advanced stages of meditation, Lahiri Baba's diary notes, which are shared in this book, provide invaluable confirmation, although a proper Guru is still necessary.I do wish that the quotes were in proper hindi however....!

I have read Autobiography of a yogi few years back, but in this book the essence of kriya yoga through the experience of an enlighten master are very clearly documented with some precautions, dos and don't directly from the master of the masters 'Yogiraj'. Reading this book in itself is a blessing from the divine and will definitely help and motivate spiritual seekers to move ahead on the divine path. Thank you to the author to make great efforts and present this book for spiritual seekers. Pranam

Kriyayoga or Sadhana that's lost in the lap of time is wished to be taken to Common Householder by this book. But mere printed words fails to find that much credibility unless it's backed by evidence. Here, 26 diaries based on which it's claimed to be written are the Clinching Evidences acceptable to a reader read common man/householder. Absence of pics of relevant pages of diaries on this book has somewhat blackened it's credibility. This has constrained my rating to 4 stars. Otherwise, this book is a must read for a Spiritual Seeker seeking The PURANA PURASHA the Supreme Soul, the Supreme Energy or the Supreme Truth.
