The features on this battery tester are great. It can be connected to a computer through a USB port and programmed to charge and discharge a low voltage battery, up to 5v.A great tool to have if you build and test your own backup batteries.

Does NOT discharge at 20 Amps current
The one I received is not a 20 Amps discharge tester, it only discharges 6.5 Amps maximum, I tried 3 different batteries from 25Ah to 100Ah, I also tried to use it’s PC software but all the same only 6.5 Amps maximum discharge current.

it simply works in the smplest of sense.
I did not hook it up to a PC to do an automated test, got tired of all of the requirements for ET to phone home with CCP made electronics. so I run it simply in the manual mode. in this mode it works and works well

Unreliable but very handy cell charger / tester
It is a very affordable and smart $280 40A charger + tester. Its data plotting & cycling software is great. Nothing comes close to it at that price.Discharge current was checked against accurate ampmeter and shunt. Within 1%, really good. Current graphs are a joke though, they just report the set current not the actual (i.e. report 40.00A instead of 39.65 for instance), until the current departs enough from set value.Capricious manual button experience though. Can't reliably program a new cycle. Manual instructions are useless. Forced to use a PC. No older driver available for the USB serial cable, even from 3rd parties. Can not use an old WinXP system. Also, recording a run requires attaching a PC as the unit has no data memory whatsoever. Its generic off-the-shelf power supply, inside the unit, is not reliable. First one emitted sparking sounds after 2 cells and died. Supplier replaced whole unit immediately. 2nd one went up in smoke after 20 cells. TKingok sent a replacement PSU. Great and responsive support by seller, but they seem used to shipping replacements for the no name flimsy PSU...

Directions - No. US power adapter - NO!
The device looks to be decently made. The power brick is only for use on 230VAC, the one I received at least. Why is Amazon sending a device with a 230VAC (only) input power brick to customers in the USA? I investigated this after using the device to test charge an 18V battery pack. I checked the power brick temperature about 10-15 minutes and it was considerably warmer than I expected for the short run-time ~120-125°F (at 75°F room temp). I am searching for a replacement 19VDC 90W supply from a well known manufacturer for use on 120VAC.

100% documentation in chinese
I hope you already know how to use this, because the manual has no english words except for "instruction manual" on the cover. Using a translate feature on my phone, it is somewhat possible to understand the manual, however it does not seem to be charging my cells. the website also does not work.
