If you buy a pair, what do you use the second one for?

I accidentally broke the cap on a new 16oz bottle of liquid chlorophyll. It need to be kept in a dark container so i transferred it to the extra bottle. With the plastic plug & screw on lid, everything is sealed properly & the chlorophyll will still be good to use. But really you can use these types of bottle with the pour spouts for anything. My mom had them all over the house when we grew up. Cooking oils, vinegar, mixed dressings, dish soap, homemade body oils in bathroom, etc... Just make sure that if you need it to be a green or dark glass to preserve something that you buy it. Clear works for most things.

They are made in China, and all materials in their construction is BPA free.

How thick is the glass compared to the clear, flexible olive oil bottles being sold?

The glass is thick. Glass is way better than plastic for olive oil. It’s easier to clean. I’m very happy with this product.
