Batman (2016-) Vol. 1: Their Dark Designs

I bought this as part of my husband's Valentine gift and he loved it. He had been missing the issues in this collection and was happy to get caught up. Shipping was fast andnit arrived in perfect condition.

Not exactly ground breaking, but it's a good story overall. Batman fans and comic geks will love it! If you're new to the genre it's a good detective story about how the past catches up with you.

Some of the best I have seen in this weird era of comics. Great art and great story by James Tynion.

Loved it. Hope DC goes far with this run

Mostly standard Bat villains scheming and stealing and killing, a mash-up of old plots and characters. I found myself thinking more about one of the questions Deathstroke (of all characters) asks: "why the hell do people live here?" - meaning Gotham. It's a good question, and the answer is - they don't, it is a setting not a place. It is a stage for bi-annual slaughter-fests, and most of the victims go unnamed and unmourned. This outing is stage setting for that, which comes in the next volume. Although still, plenty of violence and peril for Our Heroes. Sigh.

Another good Batman story!

The art is epic, gritty, and sexy. The plotting is relentless and intense. The characters are growing and evolving in logical, but not unfamiliar ways. And most interesting of all, Batman feels genuinely out-of-sorts with the case and with himself as he wrestles with the trauma of losing the most important person in his life. The climax of this story arc is truly stunning and unlike anything longtime Batfans have seen before. Eager to dive in to Volume 2.

An excellent story with crazy twists and turns lovely art and action galore

Excelente historia que le da un nuevo aire al personaje con nuevos y viejos villanos. La calidad del libro es muy buena y su precio es aún mejor. No se engañen esto no es relleno, es el inicio de una nueva trama que continúa con the Joker war y las nuevas ideas que llevan a cabo en esta historia revitalizan a Batman de una manera que no se había hecho desde Scott Snyder.

Gran historia, me encanto siendo honestos no es que no me gustará la etapa de Tom king pero James Tynion IV me hizo volver a interesarme más en Batman, me recordó mucho a la etapa de Snyder de la cual fui gran fan.Adore está historia y sus nuevos personajes en especial a punchline , espero con ansias el vol 2 de Joker war.

Me encanto el formato, el cubrepolvos y llego super cuidado. El problema es que la calidad del papel parece ser la misma que en comics de grapas, por lo regular en pasta dura meten mejor impresión.

Tenía muchas ganas de leer este cómic, y al final creo que no era lo que esperaba.Me gusta mucho, pero crees que va a innovar y acaba dando la vuelta para ser algo clásico.Por eso pongo 4 y no 5 estrellas.
