Used for feeding bluejays
Bluejays love it so it serves it purpose. Able to buy large quantities at a decent enough price

Peanuts vanished rapidly
Judging by how fast the squirrels and chipmunks ate these, I'd say they were good. Bought as a retirement gift. My dad has loved spoiling his yard pets.

Infested with bugs
Unfortunately, the order that received looked very old and dusty. Initially i had noticed a few bugs to start flying around when i was scooping them out of the bag. I went ahead and filled up the outdoor feeders for the squirells and blue jays. Normally, they'll make a fairly large amount of peanuts disappear within an hour or two after sunrise. In the case of this product, the feeders were mostly still full at the end of the day with small amount dropped out to the ground. I shrugged and said "oh well, guess they weren't hungry today". I decided to leave the uneaten product in the feeders and figured they'd change they're mind the next day. The results were the same the following day.I've run across this same issue (not from this seller) regarding the bug infestation. I can't remember the exact name of the bugs, but I think they're some type of moth. Possibly gypsy moths, but not for sure. Learning from the past, I always keep the large orders of shelled peanuts out in my garage in a tightly sealed container. That doesn't matter to these bugs. If you receive an order where the guys have already gotten a foothold, they'll multiply 10 fold non stop until you throw away the entire stock of peanuts. Once I remembered these bugs from my past experience, I grabbed a thick trash bag and a can of bug spray. When you go to dump your infested peanuts into the trash, here a couple of tips.Use a thick trash bag that you can tie off tightly. When you dump your stock into the bag, it will be very dusty from the deteriorated nuts along with allot of stringy web like junk generated by the bugs.As soon as you agitate them in any way they'll start flying around and increase to a swarm. Although annoying, they don't sting or bite. The best way to minimize that type of situation is to dump the entirety of the infested product quickly in the bag and immediately give it a good dose of bug spray and seal the bag. Try to get the bag away from your house if possible. If you keep your stock inside and it is infested with these pest, be prepared for some unpleasant side effects. You'll start seeing them flying around inside your house in increasing numbers. Here's the real kicker. Anything in your food stocks that are dry grain baised like pastas, cereals, etc...... toss em out immediately. These guys can get into almost any sealed space. Once they get loose within your house, they'll lay they're cocooned eggs in the smallest cracks and crevices in every room your house including places like drawers and closets. It took me a couple of months of aggresive pest control to get rid of these nasty pests. This is not intended to be a dig towards this vendor. As I stated previously in this comment, I've run across this issue with orders from other non related vendors. In my experience, it's more prevalent in the net type bags than the plastic bags.

Weeds
I buy peanuts every 2-3 months for squirrels in 25 pound bags. I have only Ever had an occasional stem. Theses peanuts are full of weeds & stems. Will not buy again! 24 pounds of peanuts, with terrible dirt, weeds, stems! Wouldn’t recommend nor will I buy again, if this is the company used!

in shell peanuts
good value for squirrel food. only complaint is too many small (one nut) or broken open nuts, that is reason for 4 stars. would buy again.
